Some very funny stuff. Particularly liked the line: I am a good girl.

I watched reruns of Graham Norton on BBC American I believe it was and always enjoyed the offbeat humor. While the celebrities do get to promote their projects, it is so much less staged and predictable than US chatfests. It reminds me a lot of the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson on those occasions when Johnny must of said to himself, fuck it middle America this is a show for the adults out there.

A question and a statement -

The question-

Did Matt Damon's face look 'stiff' to anyone else- as if he might have used Botox?

The statement -

Dawn French looked a lot like Morticia Addams.

Norton is always Entertaining much more so than J.Fallon!

I wonder if the fact that they serve the guest stars alcohol, if they want it, which I think American talk shows don't do (at least not while on the set- I have no idea what they supply backstage in a dressing room or in the Green Room) partially explains the 'looseness' of Graham's show.

Leno's "Tonight Show" was infamous for the drink cart, which Leno would deliver personally in the dressing rooms to help get the guests loosened up.

I don't know about backstage, but Alan Carr pours drinks to all his guests live on the show ... (to enjoy with moderation) ;)

Thanks for that post with Robin Williams... I had never seen that clip before, and it shows just what an incredibly talented guy he was. So sad that he couldn't get his depression and emotional demons under control He had many more years ahead of him, but he couldn't see that. RIP...

I want to just add something here. As most of you already know, he had just been diagnosed with Parkinson's. Parkinson's can cause depression on top of whatever depression you might have because of being diagnosed with Parkinson's.

As an example- I have a friend whose mother was really depressed. I'm thinking she is in her 70's. It turns out she had undiagnosed Parkinson's disease. I believe both her Parkinson's and Depression are much better after starting treatment.
