It sure wasn't obvious to me that they guy was an actor who was in on the prank. How did you get this info?

 

I'm sure glad someone hasn't played a prank like that on me. Can't even begin to imagine who high my blood pressure would be!!

I know a few actors who do this regularly, and Derek and I have done it a few times, too. You call in to the coordinator (they arrange these "pranks" for stations nationwide) at a certain hour (usually early in the AM, which is why we only did it a few times) and they tell you the situation (i.e., you're gonna get a series of annoying calls from a "telemarketer"). Then they have you call the radio station to let them know you're ready. You give the DJ your phone number, wait by your phone, and then they call you back on the air. It pays about $100 for less than an hour's work (most of the time is spent waiting for the call back). Most of the pranks on the radio are not real.
