Much like the response to Romann's thread, most gentlemen find the risk/reward of participating on the forum will go against them over time. That said just think how interesting this board would be if gentlemen took off their gloves and told us what they really thought of us posters without risk to their business. We as general posters have zero risk and can say whatever we feel like. Gentlemen on the other hand have to pick and choose which posts they may respond to and then have to choose their words carefully. Too bad most of us posters are so thin skinned that we cannot take some honest answers from the people in the know. But we tend to feel superior just because we dole out the cash. Just because at times we control the purse strings does not give us the right to treat people's opinions like they are from a lower class and we need to remind others their place. But many posters do take that approach and look for any little thing to poke and prod and hope a gentleman deep 6s himself. So while we may lament a lack of interest by many gentlemen, we are the ones to blame for an unfriendly place for conversation.

Seems like a long time since we've seen a post from him. I notice he has a recent review, a good one as usual, but I don't see posts from him.

I speak to Raul on a fairly regular basis and can report that he is alive and well. I will let him know that he is missed on the forums.

Sad, but true.

No doubt about it, an escort posting here can either stick to pleasantries and drivel, or take a chance on being abused and generally treated like dirt over and over (and face a potential loss of income). I'm suspecting many of them have calculated that it's not worth the risk. It's a real shame since we've lost a great deal of potential helpful information, but I certainly understand why many of them no longer post.

I saw Raul a few weeks ago and have plans to visit him again the next time I am in the windy city! He is definitely thriving in Chicago at this very moment! You can check with a very happy, satisfied wisconsinguy on that! ;) I asked RGM about why he no longer posted like he used to on the forum and his answer was that he didn’t really want to spend the time anymore reading it and/or posting. I didn’t get the feeling that he felt it was because of the forum’s negative aspects, which Bart so eloquently noted above, but just because he has better ways to use his time. On the other hand, I think Romann DID get burnt out due to negative responses to a number of his posts.

I liked Raul. It's pity that he has decided to leave the Forum. He had many interesting things to say here and he had a passion for trains, healthy eating/lifestyle and international politics among other things.

Actually Daddy allows and encourages escorts to have a separate posting identity on this Forum, allowing them not to "dirty" their escort persona.

That being said, with my participation here there are a few "rules" I choose to abide by:

1. Grow a thick(er) skin

2. Don't take everything too seriously

3. Don't forget to have some fun.

4. Abandon all hope when you sign in ... ;)

Hey thanks everybody for the kind words. I'm still around, it's

been a fun year (even winter). Though I've been distracted and

unfortunately not good about staying in contact or up to date.

I'm extremely appreciative that the forum is still here, and that Daddy hasn't deleted my signon from lack of activity.

Hope to see all of you soon one way or another. At least some of you next month!

As someone who has participated in the Forum for several years, I really appreciate the posts of guys like Steven and Raul: from what I have read (mainly Steven in recent months, but some Raul in older posts), both gentlemen are highly intelligent, quite witty, and filled with wisdom and knowledge that most of us could learn from.

Bravo, Steven. Bravo, Raul.

Raul,

I'm glad that you're well and happy and I hope it won't be too long before we see another post from you.

Welcome back.

I couldn't have said it better! I'm always happy to read each and every professional's insights and opinions here!

Main Entry: al·le·go·ry

Pronunciation: \ˈa-lə-ˌgȯr-ē\

Function: noun

Inflected Form(s): plural al·le·go·ries

Etymology: Middle English allegorie, from Latin allegoria, from Greek allēgoria, from allēgorein to speak figuratively, from allos other + -ēgorein to speak publicly, from agora assembly — more at else, agora

Date: 14th century

"Allegory is a rhetorical device in which characters or events in a literary, visual, or musical art form represent or symbolize ideas and concepts. Allegory has been used widely throughout the histories of all forms of art; a major reason for this is its immense power to illustrate complex ideas and concepts in ways that are easily digestible and tangible to its viewers, readers, or listeners. An allegory conveys its hidden message through symbolic figures, actions, imagery, and/or events. Allegory is generally treated as a figure of rhetoric; a rhetorical allegory is a demonstrative form of representation conveying meaning other than the words that are spoken"

"lasciate ogni speranza, voi ch'entrate"

Grazie per l'originale... quelle parole minacciose sono uno delle mie citazioni preferite da La Divina Commedia di Dante!

Thanks for the original ... those ominous words are one of my favorite quotes from Dante's The Divine Comedy!
