saw this on a tumblr and it sure looks fantastic.....image search info reveals that it's a pool in California in 1940, but wondering exactly where - maybe the Coachella Valley??....sorry, don't know how to attach a tumblr pic, but it should be safe....thanks

I don't recognize the specific location, but I think I have seen the photo before, which makes me think you are right about it being in the Palm Springs area.

thanks for the help....a ways down the tumblr link in SFSteve's post is another vintage picture of it with a note added that it still is in existence behind a Spencer's restaurant at the old historic Tennis Club SW of downtown Palm Springs....a check of Google Earth confirms it - with new buildings and bigger vegetation, of course, now surrounding it....the view is to the SSE.....

Of course, I should have recognized that pool at the Tennis Club, but it has been remodeled since 1941, and no longer looks quite as interesting as it did then.
