anyone provide monthly stipend?

This is a great topic and I can't remember this being discussed before. I find this kind of arrangement works really well for me and have used Grindr, Gaydar and SeekingArrangement to find it. I'm in the UK. Some have lasted a few years but most seem to last on average a year as guys like to move on and that probably applies to myself as well.

I was just thinking of this, too. (I would ask the OP, too.)

 

The stipend seems to be providing some reliability for both parties, but I wonder. The client could set aside the money, and spend it (reliably) on the provider. The provider could be available reliably for the client on a reasonably-regular basis. So I'm not really seeing what is being gained if no exclusivity or "on-demand" reliability is being offered, by either party.

 

It sounds like an arrangement something like "keeping an attorney on retainer". is that a similar arrangement?

What I've got with these two particular escorts is trust so wiring that money to them isn't something I worry about. salary or not, they would get it from me anyway and it's easier for me to electronically send it on a regular basis, less fuss for me in needing to keep cash on hand

 

for what I pay I'm getting a couple of overnights a mo. I don't ask for anything above and beyond even though I know both of them would go way out of the way to make sure I'm always taken care of

From my point of view, the question is a perfectly reasonable one. Friends that I know who hire strictly for muscle worship or strictly for oral consider those activities as a hire, and don't feel that they should be paying less. Of the escorts that I have discussed this with, there does seem to be a slight difference of opinion. Some will say that they would charge less for just muscle worship, while others have put a price on their time for a hire, and whatever a client chooses to do with that time is up to them.

 

My feeling is that, assuming that I really liked the guy, my monthly stipend would be based on time, not activity, at least that was the case with the guy in Pattaya. My arrangement with him was that he would be exclusive to me when I came to visit..period, and that was based on a 24 hour day. He literally was my companion regardless of what I wanted to do. Personally I felt that the arrangement was worth the money spent.....until of course other problems began to arise, and I felt the need to terminate the deal.

I do not have the amount of money that would allow for a monthly stipend for two escorts. Even if I did, I believe it is bad idea. I saw the same escort about every two-three weeks for almost three years. He did give me a reduced rate, but otherwise

nothing was specifically planned or paid ahead of time. So we were both free to move on and, of course, he saw other people throughout as did I. Two years would have been enough. Eventually, he began to talk about the business side of being an escort; it was clear that he was going to cut his more troublesome clients free at his first opportunity. It took a while, but I just stopped calling him. He was shocked. But, it would been a lot more messy if we have a monthly stipend agreement.

 

And the best part is that I have a lot more money to do many other things rather than hiring escorts occasionally.

I think your approach is a lot more sensible for most people, especially in the U.S.

 

In countries like Thailand and Brazil, if you are a resident, the stipend method might work better.

A lot of responses here seem to assume the stipend arrangement is with an escort, in which case, you would have to calculate whether the stipend makes more sense than the regular pay-as-you go. But there is a whole different pool of guys who are not escorts that would be willing to do an arrangement. The arrangement might be closer to a boyfriend (or friends-with-benefits) type arrangement.
