I wanted to see this play for two reasons. The first being that while I was familiar with the first movie version, I had never seen a live performance. The second and maybe the main reason was because of James Franco. I've always thought him both attractive and an interesting screen actor. He also is serious in many areas beyond acting so I thought he would give a good performance. I wasn't disappointed and even though his delivery was not always as strong as many more accomplished stage actors he was fine in the role of George. The standout performance for me however was Chris O'Dowd in the role of Lenny. It's a role that could easily go into the realm of caricature but he made Lenny both believable and heartbreaking. All of the supporting actors were equally fine. I would certainly recommend seeing it.

I had a very good seat in the 12th row orchestra which I got for 50% off at the tkts booth for today's matinee. Sitting across the aisle from me was Nicholas Cage. I don't think he was recognized by too many people and was left unbothered by the audience.

I remember reading this John Steinbeck play when I was in high school... Really enjoyed seeing it live on Broadway... James Franco and Chris O'Dowd are wonderful in their leading roles. Excellent cast and creative set designs. Definitely worth seeing.

The reviews are in, and they are pretty good, except the guy from the LA Times seems to have indigestion. His is the only sour review I came by.

I really liked Of Mice and Men. Chris O'Dowd was fantastic, and I thought James Franco did well too. The cast was good, the sets were great. I guess you could say that Franco slays them on Broadway!

I saw Dave Franco in the men's room, and no, he wasn't fucking himself, just washing his hands and trying not to be noticed.
