Totally Agree! As of Today this Thread is Closed to me! ;)

Probably the best choice. I read the synopses of the books before I started watching the second season of Game of Thrones so I knew the red wedding was coming. It didn't lessen the impact but I can't imagine how I would have felt otherwise. I still remember Sean Bean losing his head in Season One and I was flabbergasted.

I don't really watch anything on a regular TV anymore so I tend to see things differently. So I have to be really careful about not reading anything about something. Sometimes I'm a season behind .... but then there's the British TV that I watch, almost all of which is seen months before it is shown (if ever) on American TV. Downton, Midwife, Selfridge, Silk, Death in Paradise, a dozen others. I get tired of having to be so careful to not talk about them or write about them because Americans haven't seen them yet. I sometimes think that this is 2014 and there's no reason that someone anywhere in the world shouldn't have seen Downton in real time if they really wanted to ... and if you choose not to, you can't really complain about spoilers.

I think once something has appeared somewhere (the USA is not the center of the universe, after all) it's fair game to talk about it.

The night after the Red Wedding aired, a friend posted "Congratulations to all my friends who read the books and did NOT spoil last night's episode".

I admit, I clicked through to an article that clearly indicated it had spoilers about this season, and I'm not happy that I did. I enjoyed the complete surprise of the Red Wedding.

Does anybody else wonder what happened to the "fog " thing that killed Renly? That would be a pretty powerful weapon! I just wondered what ever happened to that thing. It was there one minute and then "poof" it was gone! (Sorry for the pun but couldn't resist !) .

The whole "witch thing" stuff has been dropped, for the moment. I can't say that I mind, it was really my least favorite part of the show. I find it very boring.

Well the witch is still around. Kind of a weird thing to drop if it was so effective and killing your enemy. I like it better without the black smoke thing but logic would say bring it back if you were Stannus.

She's not a witch. She is priestess of the Red God. And it hasn't really been dropped, either. Last season, she leeched Gendry to get "the blood of a king" and as she threw them into the fire, she cursed Balon Greyjoy, Joffrey and Tywin Lannister. She had planned to burn Gendry alive as a sacrifice to the Red God and secure the Iron Throne for Stannis, but the Onion Knight Sir Davos helped him escape and then convinced Stannis that the real war was in the North. Even this season, Brienne was telling Margaery about the smoke with the face of Stannis that killed Renly, so they are not done with it. And Mellisandre is still after a king's blood when she gets to the North. I think that's what it takes to envoke the Red God.

Wasn't the third leech Robb Stark not Tywin lannister? That is what made me think, oh boy , two of the leeches succeeded and now the third has Joffery in its sights !

Okay, I guess I'm not just that "deep into it" are you are. Which I think is a good thing? :):):)

By dropped, I mean they haven't covered it much for quite some time. Yippee!

MFLV, you are totally correct. It was the usurper, Robb Stark. Sorry.

Mellisandre had sex with Stannis and when she birthed his "son" (called by some the Shadow Assassin) it killed Renly. So, it did involve the body fluid of a King, just not actual blood, that time.

Actor playing Jon Snow

I think some folks have missed the actor Kit Harrington who plays Jon Snow. He is kind of hot. He played the leading role in a film called POMPEII that bombed. He had buffed up for that role and he looked pretty good to me. Of course this was before my new glasses arrived.

Thank Okie. I don't really understand Stannis beef with the Theron grayborn or something like that. Why did they throw a leech on the fire for him ?

And yes I think Jon Snow is smokin hot.

I don't think anyone is throwing him out of bed :) I haven't seen that film but I did see The Legend of Hercules this week in the privacy of my home and despite all the truly bad reviews I didn't think it was half bad. Lots of wonderful beefcake although I think that someone should have told Kellan Lutz to work on this legs: great upper body but chicken legs doesn't look good.

Last night's episode (Breaker of Chains) revealed Olyvar's ass and cock. Delectable :)

Interesting. Kind of saw that coming. Wanted him to suffer more !

Just saw your question MFLV. Sorry but had a very crazy week last week. Hate it when work interferes with hanging out here.

Balon Greyjoy (Theon's father) is who they cursed with the leech. The Greyjoys and the Starks have a longstanding feud over the control over the North. I think the Greyjoys rebelled against the Starks and after Nedd Stark drove them back to the Iron Islands (with Robert Barathian's help), he took Balon's youngest son, Theon as his ward (hostage) and raised him as a Stark (kind of). After Nedd's death, the Greyjoys led by Theon invaded the North again and sacked Winterfell. Basically, Stannis sees Balon as a obstacle to taking the North which is his first step to claiming the Iron Throne.

When I "happened upon" this last night on HBO, the two women were together, and the two men were likewise: hot, hot, hot, and when I saw that hot, nude body walking away with the cock flapping, all that I could do was say "DAMN!" "FUCKIN' HOT, indeed!!!" :) :)

Thank okie. I enjoyed the last two episodes. The hot blonde brothel guy showed up again which I enjoyed seeing. That guy has a beautiful body. Didn't get to see oberlyn totally naked yet but hopefully that will be in a future episode!
