Hiya, guys. I'm going to be going to a 40th birthday party tomorrow night here in NYC and I have a feeling we're going to end up at the only gay strip club in town, the Adonis Lounge. I've never been to a gay strip club (only straight ones--poor me!), and I'm just wondering a few things:

1) Have you been to Adonis? If so, is it fun?

2) Less specifically: Do male strippers generally allow touching in a lapdance situation?

3) How does the champagne room work?

If anyone has any info, please post or feel free to private message me. Thanks!

They will typically be fully nude for you in the champagne room. As geoffk points out, what happens in that room is definitely related to your tip and how attractive the dancer finds you.

Yes, you can touch the dancer during a lapdance.

First, please remember that the only "dumb question" is the question that is not asked.

As for champagne rooms, I wouldn't know, but geoffk's answer sounds right on the mark.

As for lapdances, my experience at Adonis has been that some guys to allow touching, and some don't. I assume that you mean genital touching. All lap dancers allow touching above the waist, all that you want, in my experience there.

You never know what you'll get. (Sounds like Forrest Gump and his box of chocolates.) I had a lap dance from one guy who was remarkably interactive. He had my shirt off and my pants down (and I wasn't wearing underwear). However, that happened only once.

Sniggy, I may be wrong but I believe that the Champagne rooms at Adonis were only when they had the nude show. You are going to a regular Adonis show and so the lapdances are in a lapdance room but it's not a champagne room. The major difference is that you won't be alone and in private - you'll be sharing the space with whatever patrons have brought a dancer back for a private lapdance. You may have another dancer and his patron right next to you on a couch, or you might have the lapdance room to yourselves. But I believe in NYC, you should expect the former.

As for what can be done in a lapdance, I concur with what has been said: different dancers allow different things. However, i do not agree that it is always proportional to the amount of money spent or the attractiveness of the patron. Somehow, the personality mix between dancer and patron has an algorithm all its own that I've never been able to explain. I have some gorgeous friends who have gotten very little from a dancer. I've seen downright trolls (IMHO) get to have their way with a dancer. I've seen fools spend thousands (literally) on dancers who don't get nearly as far as others have who are spending less. All that to say, there's no telling what sets off or tickles the fancy of a stripper. All you can do is be nice, be respectful, be a gentleman, and hope for the best from your entertainment experience. But if you're expecting a sure bargain, you're better off spending your $20 on a movie and a bucket of popcorn.

Have a great time! Personal tip - introduce yourself to Tim (the owner of Adonis). He's a great man and he's always happy to set you up with a dancer that you want to try out. He's there to make sure you have a great time!

I was there last year and made friends of sorts with Tim who puts the thing on. I told him that I was totally into oral cock worship and he hooked me up with a couple guys who I took to the Champagne Room. It was kind of unsatisfying, actually, as these guys are only interested in making more money. I had hoped, naively, that if I paid enough I could suck a guy off and get his load, but it probably would have taken $300 to get it. They're fun to play with but you can easily spend your rent or mortgage money trying to get more than they're willing to offer....especially if you've had a couple drinks.

A blast from the thread's past here: Practically speaking, I just wanted to politely suggest that it's not all about dancers being money grubbers. There's also the issue of not all guys taking Cialis or whatever yet needing to be able to perform the rest of the night. And by perform, I mean just walking around the nude party with a semi or full hardon to attract other customers. I bet if you asked whatever dancers Tim set you up with if they'd be willing to do a private with you *after* the nude party, you would have had, um, loads of fun. ;)
