I could say tasteless, but you'd be trying to figure out how to put a "lick and taste strip" on your cock pics.

I have photographed a lot of male models and escorts over the past 20 years. First, I always want the guy to feel comfortable so any "touch" or "no touch" boundaries are made clear in the beginning. Most guys don't mind being touched somewhat. I do think it is important for escorts to have fresh and clear photos. If taken by a photographer it shows the escort is serious about his job. I think the guys with only "selfies" are quick buck type of guys and have a tendency to not be good escorts. Just the other night a visiting escort contacted me about shooting his photos. He was in town for a week advertising on Rentboy. When he showed up it was obvious to me the current pics used on Rentboy were 6 to7 years old (selfies). His attitude was bad and I eventually asked him to leave. Too bad for the people in D.C. hiring this guy. Going to be a waste of their time.

Not sure I agree with you on that. You could also argue that the one's with professional photo's look too airbrushed and don't refresh their photo's as much due to cost. It's also the photographers job to make the models look even better then they are normally. A good photographer has an eye for what looks best ie proper lighting, angles, etc. I know that I look better in them for sure but a simple digital camera also has its place as in spur of the moment vs staged.

I agree about over airbrushing a model or trying to make him look better than he is. My goal usually is to make the guy look accurate. Recently shot a 22 y.o. that is sort of chubby, but yet incredibly hot. He was hard to shoot, often looking bigger than he actually is. The guy was also extremely nice, sweet, no attitude, and someone I would recommend hiring (unless you're looking for the perfect model type). This guy's selfies did not anywhere near do him any justice or getting him any work. The newbie used the not-over-done photos I shot and got some good work.

The reaction I recieve from new clients 90 percent of the time is, "YOU look exactly like your pics," and it is said with a big happy satisfied smile. the other ten percent say , "your pics dont do you justice...you look far better than your pics." As a general rule I find self-taken phone photos tacky. I particularly dislike the shots in a mirror where the escort is shown holding the phone. Many “good” photographers don’t have to enhance the photographs they take. Good escorts are NOT poorly paid so in my book they should invest some of their income on things like good photographs, good grooming aids, and if needed help on writing ad copy. Poorly written ads accompanied by tacky photos are total turn-offs for me. I’m looking for a pro who knows how to present himself not some clueless clown.

Thanks kindly for the compliment. To add to this discussion, I agree that regularly updating photos with professional shots is essential for maintaining a vibrant online presence. I try to do a new cycle quarterly, leaving photos from memorable movies, and adding shots from new scenes and great photographers. I would, however, add that "selfies" - those mirrored shots straight from the gym or my bathroom mirror - help add to the authenticity of being a "regular guy," and are - sometimes - the proof that newer clients need that they're dealing with the actual escort. I'd propose a good mix of the two.

 

As a parallel thread, I'd like to know how often others' pictures are stolen! It's almost bimonthly that I get an email/text/phone call telling me that someone is using my pictures in <Insert Popular City Here> on A4A, M4RN, and even occasionally RM and/or RB. To that end, in more than a few instances, I've had clients exclaim how excited they were to meet the real me; as, they were sorely surprised to meet the fake me at another city, believing the charade of a picture thief. Watermarking rules are different on each site, so protecting images can be difficult. I'm considering getting some body paint and photographing myself with my phone number smeared across my chest.

I don't mind 'selfies,' even if they show the escort holding their phone, if they are good selfies. The problem with the professional pictures is we've seen how often lately they are stolen from some professional model- not that selfies can't be stolen too. Also I am not saying that I think Sean Xavier or Amir are fakes or scams. I believe they are very real although I have no problem believing their pictures might be stolen all the time.

 

My question is we've outed a lot of fakes recently. Do we think there are more fakes recently, or is it just that a lot of us have gotten better at Google Image Search? And of course I think we ought to keep in mind that I don't think Hooboy started this website only to promote good escorts/and give info about bad escorts who look like their pictures but also to alert us to the scammers with fake pictures and descriptions.

The one I thought was the hottest guy didn't have the best body or the biggest dick. His name is Marcus on PlanetJockBoys. I shot a quickset of photos on Marcus that are used on their website.
