Now I understand. Well, from my perspective, the problem began when you brought up the issue of him charging money when responding to his Craigslist ad. I think Tony's response makes sense under the circumstances since he's just being honest. Was he supposed to write, "Any client who finds me on Craigslist gets a free session?" I think that you would have done better to simply respond to his Craigslist ad the way you would responding to any other Craigslist ad: Send a photo and describe yourself and your interests. Then, if he either rejected you directly (or indirectly by simply not responding) and you still wanted to meet him, you could have hired him. Of course the problem with this is he would likely recognize you once you showed up for the appointment, and that might be awkward for one or both of you. And the other problem, depending on your ego, is that it may be difficult to enjoy the fantasy of being with him when you have first-hand evidence that he's only with you because you're paying him.

Nah, thanks but no thanks.

As stated previously:

As I live close enough to one of Georgia's armpits - Columbus - to travel for a full price, reduced rate or, doubtful, free hook-up with Mr. Serrano the following exchange through C'list is true-to-life.:

Me: "You charging $150/hr for it like you advertise on Rentmen.com? Or is this a freebie?"

Him: "It really depends on the person responding to my posting on CL man."

How is fee or no fee determined?

I suppose I'm being hard-headed but I can't see the legitimacy in all this.

Take that for what it's worth. I'm done.

some of you guys act like an escort is not permitted to have a private life or seek out partners he finds desireable aside and apart from his work. imagine this: chef's actually enjoy cooking for their friends; carpenters have been known to build cabinets without charging

jeeez .... Tony's a decent guy ... give it a rest
