I didn't have private internet access for over a week, so I've been catching up on the various postings here in the Message Center. I found myself impressed with the variety of postings from the escorts. There is the humor of Matt Vancouver and Rick Munroe (although they have been absent recently)...Jeff Ohio is always informative...Aaron Scott DC is a real sweetheart...and there are others, of course.

Three guys, though, stand out for the quality and content of their writing: Benjamin Nicholas, Gio in Denver, and TJ in Denver. They are clearly intelligent and insightful guys. TJ in particular reminds me of Shamus, who was a truly gifted writer. (If Shamus is before your time--trust me, this is a major compliment, lol.) I hope in years to come that these guys put this talent to good use.

Anyway, besides encouragement for TJ, Gio, and Benjamin to visit the East Coast someday soon (get the hint, guys? }( ), I just wanted to live up to my handle and give credit where credit is due.

Happy 4th!

Many thanks for the compliment... It's appreciated :)

There are times that i wouldn't mind being a little more sarcastic, pessimistic or bitter than i have been in the past, but i figure there's enough of it around here to kill a horse, so i'd better stick to something constructive. lol.

Thanks again~ You just about made my fourth ;)

Warmest Always,

Informative? What am I a street sign? LOL! Just kidding, Gentle, thanks for the mention. I do have a sense of humor, perhaps a bit too sophisticated to go over well on an escort review site.

Thanks OP for the kind and thoughtful praise. It's easy to come on to

the Message Center and let off steam. The escorts whom you mentioned almost never do that. I would add Small Town John to the list of positive posters. What a great review for John today! I noticed that most of his reviews are from people who have reviewed other escorts.

This is not an ad for John, just had never read his reviews before and was impressed.

Well, imo, they would have to be blind and deaf not to get the hint? I thought your post was a somewhat fawning, solictious post aimed at these 3 in particular to visit you on the East Coast. Nothing wrong with that, but don't expect us to believe it was anything more literary and intellectual than that or had any purpose except to elicit a response from these escorts.

Of course they all write well, but so do many others who post here, both clients and escorts, yet you don't mention them, outside of a nod to Aaron, Rick and Jeff. I notice you didn't send any "hints" their way?

Well, except for TJ, Gio and Rick, so far, they have all responded to you, so I guess your post accomplished it's purpose? I think that is great, but I would suggest that you follow up with a personal to these guys, if you are that interested in them.

I agree with your comments about the quality of the posts of the individuals you cite, but really, I don't seriously believe any of us will be enshrined into the Literary Hall of Fame, now or later.

If you are going to limit your observations of the literary skills to escorts only, then how did you forget FrancoDiSantis? Or Rod Hagen? Or Sebastian in Philly? Don't all of these guys come across as intelligent, informed, observant, literary and add a lot to this board? But, I guess you were just letting your libido control your observations when you posted.

Cynics

I was awaiting the first cynical response. I was surprised it took so long!

FYI, I have been around here much longer than you--long before I began officially posting on the current incarnation of the message center a year ago (Happy Anniversary to me...). I am also intelligent enough to contact someone directly if I wish to meet him. If you would pay attention to those three names, you would know that of the guys I mentioned, they are the only ones who have not traveled to the East. The others already have visited (and Rick lives here).

There are many escorts who post here--as escorts or otherwise. :+ I named those with whom I was most impressed. I could have mentioned others who make funny or valuable contributions, like John or Franco, but I chose not to name everyone. (Had I mentioned John, his name would have been added to the never-been-East/NY list.)

I'm sorry that you were unable to understand or appreciate genuine compliments. If I wanted to be fawning, I would have done a much better job.

As a good friend of mine always says: No good deed goes unpunished!

Benjamin, TJ, and Gio really do write well, by the way. :p

My my, GentleGuy, you certainly do live up to your name. My heartfelt thanks for your kind and generous remarks. Were I in your city tonight I'd do my best to show my appreciation though I'd probably do more justice without words ;-)

Sometimes I think that the most important impact I could make on those who I care about would come not from the words I speak or the ideas that I write but from the message carried by the warmth in my hand as I close it around the out-stretched hand of a friend, lover, or even a foe. Too often we underestimate the incredible and communicative power of touch, of the love passed forth from a simple embrace, and the perplexing strength evident in the gentlest kiss. On a night where I am far too out of reach to hold and kiss you myself, I appreciate you taking notice of the words I express. I always feel that words fall short where human emotions are concerned but a lone voice speaks volumes and I am flattered by your message.

Well, I feel honored to be the first! I don't know you, and really held off a long time, but wanted to respond when I first read your post, but I just couldn't take it anymore, as the replies you got only reinforced my thoughts.

>FYI, I have been around here much longer than you--long before

Well, blow a candle out! Just because you have been around longer than me, doesn't confer unquestioned superiority over me or others.

>If you would pay attention to those three names,

>you would know that of the guys I mentioned, they are the only

Don't know about TJ and Gio, but I can assure you that Benjamin has been on the East Coast several times, but since you have been here much longer than me, you should know that by now.

>(Had I mentioned John, his name would have been

>added to the never-been-East/NY list.)

If you are referring to STJ, I do believe that he has been on the east coast often including Boston, NYC, and DC and is coming to DC next weekend also. But you already know that, as you have been coming here since time immemorial.

Well, I truly understand, and said as much.

Did I disagree with this? I don't think so!

Gentle Guy,

I've always respected your style on here. You always seem to only post when you see something you like and want to compliment or add something. While others look at the most benign post and read all manner of ulterior and underhanded motives into it.

While you certainly didn't name every talented writer on the board and put me in a group which I don't completely feel that I live up to I do appreciate that you made the effort to encourage me to continue to contribute here. The hint to visit the east coast is much appreciated too though with my school schedule for the next year I may just have to send my best wishes that way for now. :-)

In the mean time I would also encourage you to keep bringing your voice of kindness and dare I say gentleness to the board as well. While some people seem to need to vent all their bitterness here to avoid kicking puppies on the street, I appreciate that you use it to bring smiles and good feelings to everyone you talk to. Though your long stay here may not indeed make you omniscient, the things you've said have apparently gained trust and credibility in the eyes of the moderators and the owner of the board if I read the icons correctly.

Controversy

I always thought that was the name of a bad 1980s song. Someone here good with meaningless trivia help me out.

When I am away from the board for a while, usually due to the fact that I have to work on my tan line or take a nap with kitty, I find myself at a loss without the valuable humor and gentle asides of Donnie, the endless and abundent one sentence commentary of this boards most enduring and, I believe the word I am looking for is 'kindest' member, as well as the usual carry on that was not properly stowed and shifted during flight....

However, for the record, I assumed I was included in here so did not feel at all left out. I have been east, too, as well....

Sorry Rick, I thought I'd dumbed it down enough that EVEN you'd get it. Oh well, I suppose I'll have that frontal lobotomy after all and go to Barnes & Noble for my own personal copy of "Sophomoric Gay Humor: How to tell the same joke over and over..."! :p Or perhaps you could loan me your copy? }(

"Cunty Comebacks", very clever!;-)

You give yourself far too much credit with that "dumb whore" tag.(page 38 of "Cunty Comebacks")}( If you're having trouble figuring this one out, wake up the "smart whore" and get him to explain it to you.:*

RE: Cynics

As a resident cynic, I saw gentle guy's post as more of a suck-up to these escorts rather than a genuine commentary on the quality of the MC posters. As hawk points out, none of us are going to win a prize. Some guys will like one person's posts over another, some guys will have more in common, and most of us will be thinking of our dicks all the time.

Personally, I think gentle guy can suck up to whomever he wants!:)

Gentle guy(and he really is by the way), thanks for including me in your list.

My one complaint though... Although all of my posts contain an element of humor(correct spelling for you yanks is humour by the way: ), they also, for the most part, are informative, or offer insight based on experience. Yes some are pure fluff, but don't lump me in with Rick Monroe... god, he's a big hunky ball of fluff: ) But then don't lump me in with Benjamin Nichols either, always positive, never anything controversial(not a bad way to be, but it ain't me...y'all: )

I'm somewhere in between. Let me blow my own horn for a bit... hmmmm tastes sweet... ok back on track... Put me in the category of somewhat intelligent, fluffy, optomist, pesimist, mature, childlike, serious, horny, opinionated, Canadian, wordly, vanilla, raunchy, comfortable, easy going, laid back, did I mention horny?...escorts.

Matt, you don't need the qualifier of "somewhat." I would have also added big-hearted. ;)

Your post here, as well as your post on the Germans thread and Gio's well-phrased comments on the Marriage thread, validate one of my intended messages: many of the escorts who post here are multidimensional men, with minds and hearts, and with talents that will go beyond their lives here. I was hoping (naively) that others would recognize this and join in, instead of assuming ulterior personal motives.

By the way, I ain't sucking up. (Don't need to, lol) :+ Just trying to be positive and, well, gentle!

Benjamin is not a mindless cheerleader. He has very clearly formed opinions about the way this business should be run, and he has composed a few posts that created controversy. Attack me all you want but leave the kid alone. :)

Muchos Gracias Rickster :)

You of all people pay great attention to detail and see that not everything i've posted has gone over a-ok~

Although what may be called 'positive' by some, i would call most of my postings constructive more than anything. I've also found that creating unnecessary 'controversy' is really the last thing people need around here, especially with some of the colorful characters already on the MC. It's a variable circus sometimes...

In simple analogy form: I'm not the guy dancing wildly on the table. I'm the quiet guy underneath him urging him on.

Warmest Regards,

Nice.

What I posted about you guys, was in no way meant to be a slam, in fact I thought it was quite complimentary...go figure.

Sorry if I offended anyone.

I happen to like hunky fluffy guys, and super optimistic boy toys.

Like I always say, text is the worst form of comunication, sarcasm, inflection, tone and body language are completly missing... little smileys just don't cut it.

Sorry again, no harm meant.
