For the last seven years my life has revolved around weekend travel. My friends never call or bother inviting me to anything anymore. I want to move toward travel during the week, so I can be home when other people aren't working.

Do you find that weekdays are the same/better/worse than weekends? (Note: I would prefer solid answers backed by experience to educated guessing about what "should" work. I've already done enough speculation to make myself crazy.)

For me, I like to do a combination of both. Sometimes it's just really hard to say what will work better or not. This is not an educated guess, but based on what I've experienced personally. There just isn't any formula. You're either going to get the weekday crowd, or miss the weekend crowd and vice versa. It also depends on where you're going also. I know clients who can never do weekends. I know some who can never do weekends. Mainly due to family.

If you are letting your friends down, definitely start spending time with them. I talk about it all the time how important it is to not neglect friends for this, and to have personal time.

For me I enjoy both. In one way your right it is nice to come back before the weekend and see the people as you say whom arnt working. However, In the same respect this is typically when possible clients are off as well. I always state that I am available for both week day and weekend travel as some just assume that you can only travel weekends. As far as your friends go though what I tend to do is alert them when I will be in town wether it be weekend or week day and then set up maybe a dinner or movie. For example I have a friend that works 9-5 during the week and as you stated most the time if I am traveling its weekends so we will sometimes go for dinner, then a movie, maybe a light cocktail then call it a night during the week. This way we atleast saw each other. Xo zach

Hey Devon,

As a client, I tend to hire only on weekdays while in my home city. Speaking solely for myself, of course, I always seem to have family obligations which come up or are scheduled for the weekends. Even Fridays or Mondays work better for me than weekend days. That is just me though. You might try experimenting with travel dates on weekdays for a week or so of travel to some cities you have a client base and see what your regulars tell you. You may also find that you’ll pick up some new clients who may have been unable to hire you on weekends previously.

Just MHO.

that is what my graphs look like. but because i was always traveling weekends, i had no data to speak of for weekdays. i was doing monthly only. and this is approximately the same pattern i see. each quarter is about the same with some higher months offsetting some lower months, so that it all evens out in the wash.

This is the type of thread that should be kept as permanent for gentlemen new to the business. I think there is a feeling up front that weekends especially Saturday would be busier. But as has been said ealier for me I almost always have family commitments on weekends. I can get away for a 1/2 or long lunch pretty easily. So weekedays definitely work better for me. Kevin, Devin and Chris this business data is what any good quality gentlman should be doing. Further do it for your own location and do it for traveling I do think there is a difference between cities, how much hard to say. I do think there is a difference between cities when it comes to the time of year. I would think the south would be busier Feb-Apr. July-August are traditional vacation months. Anyway I found the information very interesting.

I know a local DC escort who doesn't keep any graphics at all, he simply sends home 5K to 7k every month and keep his CC at 25% to 30% of his total credit capacity following Suzie Orman's advice.

Btw, he knows a lot of escorts including Jay Holt who retired with nothing...

Kevin,

This is really interesting stuff. Spring Time when young men's fancy turns to love is your best quarter of the year, Apr-Jun. And it looks like Summer matches Winter and Football Fall is the laggard. Do have a 'vacation' time in there where you don't have clients/revenues that might be skewing a particular month?

Saturday may be the busiest day in Chelsea/New York, but certainly not in the rest of the country. Weekdays definitely bring more business, with Sunday being one the slowest days, for reasons that have been mentioned above.

The months of September-October are as busy as March-April.

On the contrary, excluding days in NYC, the skew toward the weekend is even more pronounced, in my experience.

The original poster did say he was looking for solid data over educated guesses. :p
