Will student debt push more young/fresh guys into escorting?

With median rent exceeding 3000 in manhattan and many pay a lot more, it's no wonder that many students have "dipped" their toes into the escorting pool. I've known friends who have even subdivided their living rooms to generate extra income... incredible.

 

 

 

There are 3 major universities and at least half-a-dozen smaller colleges/universities within a 20-mile radius of me, and looking at the 3 escort sites (M4RN, RM& RB) plus A4A, CL & Backpage, in any week see less than half-a dozen advertising.

Someone asked about the special traits and gifts the good escorts have earlier. Well that is exactly the case! As for me I can tell you that Viagra or any othe rboner pill is not necessary. I have actually only taken one in my life and for a horn dog like me that can be dangerous ! lol! I had just seen a good client and cum when an excellent regular called for immediate service at a hotel 10 miles away so I popped one of my ex boyfriends viagras just to make sure I would be my usual self. I came again and it would not go down!!! Horrors! So my bf drove me to a secluded dark area and blew me in the car till I shot again! Anyway I think the older I get in the biz the MORE I am actually very attracted to my clients these days. They notice it and are enjoying it. Student debt has been around for as long as I've been in school (I was, back in the 80's, and now). What is different about it now that you think might push them into it?

The student loan program was one of many new initiatives in Pres. Lyndon Johnson's Great Society, probably overshadowed by Civil Rights legislation, Medicare, Head Start, etc. I obtained student loans to attend grad school from Sept. 1965 to March 1967. The loans were much smaller because the cost of attending college was much smaller, but starting salaries were low too. My first job paid almost $10,000, which seemed huge to me in the 1960s.

 

So friendofsheila is right, the loans have been available for many years. If there is any difference now, it's due to the sharp rise in college tuition & room and board. To be honest, I had trouble paying my student loan back all those years ago.

One thing that is different (in addition to the size of the debt, as WilliamM mentions), is the job market. The debt has to be re-paid, but finding a good-paying job after graduation is more difficult.

 

(But I still don't think it will cause a lot of grads to turn to escorting.)
