Columbus Bars with Strippers

 

It is possible to watch strippers seven nights a week in Columbus. Most of the bars with strippers are smaller, more intimate, neighborhood type bars. In general, the bars have three or four strippers per night. In most instances, the strippers are a part of a show hosted by a local drag queen. As a part of the show, each stripper does two strip routines then spending the remaining time working the audience for tips. Most strippers are friendly and accommodating, especially to those customers who are tipping. All bars are located within a two mile radius of the state capitol building located in the center of downtown Columbus at the corner of Broad and High Streets. Because you will be in town during Pride Week when many special activities are scheduled, I would suggest calling the bars to make certain that the strip shows are still on the weekly schedule.

 

The Columbus Eagle has a strip show on Monday night that begins at midnight and lasts approximately one hour. After the show, the dancers move to the separate back bar where the lights are turned off. One can have a very interesting time if one is willing to be a generous tipper. This is not a typical Eagle bar. It is basically a large dance bar with a smaller separate quiet bar in the rear of the building. Because the bar grants free admission to OSU students and also allows anyone 18 or older to enter, the crowd tends to be young. The entrance fee is $1.00 unless major porn stars are performing and then it is $5.00

 

The Pyramid Lounge has strippers on Tuesday night beginning at 9:30 p.m. They also have strippers beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. The Pyramid is a small bar and is usually packed during the three hours that the strippers perform. There is never an entrance fee.

 

Remo’s Bar has strippers on Wednesday beginning at 11:00 p.m., on Friday at 11:00 p.m., and on Saturday with shows at 6:00 p.m. and midnight. The bar is a neighborhood bar with an eclectic clientele and is usually crowded for the strip shows. The entrance fee is usually $2.00 for the evening shows and free for the 6:00 p.m. show.

 

The Eagle in Exile has strippers on Saturday and/or Sunday usually beginning at 8:00 p.m. The bar is darkened and most dancers totally strip. During these shows the atmosphere and activities resemble what one might observe in the backroom of a European bar. The bar is hard to find unless you know that the name on the sign over the front door says “Patrick’s”. There is no drag queen M.C. for these shows. Entrance to the bar is through a door on the south side of the bar. The entrance fee is $5.00.

 

Blondie’s (2507 Summit Street, telephone 267-3480) is a new gay bar with strippers on Friday and Saturday night. Because the bar is new and because the shows are not very well attended the strippers are very friendly to anyone that tips. The cover charge is $2.00.

 

Havana Video Lounge has strippers on Sunday at 11:00 p.m. The bar is packed for this weekly event called “Church”. This can be a fun evening even though it is less likely that you will have as much personal contact with the strippers as one might have at one of the other bars. There is normally no cover charge.

 

The Full Monty (870 N. High Street, telephone 291-3127) is located almost next door to Havana. It is a male strip club where the men totally strip and are available for private dances. It is legally a private club that does not serve alcohol, but allows alcohol to be brought onto its premises for consumption in the club. Mixes, juice and bottled water can be purchased at the club. The admission charge is $15.00 and ten minute or longer private dances began at $20.00.

I gotta say I love Columbus. What a friendly place. Gay Pride was a blast.

 

And it was educational too. I turned down sex from a guy who wanted to do it in the bathroom at a bar. Turns out I have morals and limits. Who knew??? :7

 

The weather was fantastic and Columbus combined the activities of a big city with the friendliness of a small town. I am looking forward to coming back again.

 

Now if you guys can only fix that crappy winter weather thing it would be perfect. grin

Glad to hear you had a great time. I missed the parade, but I did make it down to the Pride Festival at Bicentennial Park afterwards.

Being the state capital and all, our Pride Weekend attracts people from all over the state. I attended my first Pride Parade here in Columbus in 1987. It continues to grow every year.What I really noticed this year was the variety...more women, people of color and many more "families".

 

You should have given me a call, we could have met and had a coffee or something.

I'm also glad to hear that you enjoyed your trip to Columbus. I regret that I was not in town for your visit; it would have been enjoyable to get together for a drink. Perhaps next time.

 

I've been enjoying my stay in New Orleans and although the work is tedious, the easy availability of male dancers at numerous bars makes it all worthwhile.
