Yes, so I know this is EXTREMELY unlikely, but I have to go there for 2 weeks for work, and am assuming it's a wilderness with regard to escorts/masseurs etc-if anyone knows differently please let me know?!

You'd probably do better in Des Moines and that was hopeless although I did find that at least one of the NCAA wrestlers in town was gay and that proved "fruitful."

St. Johns is small, as you know, but there are certainly gay Newfies to be found (usually in big cities like Montreal and Toronto)! I'd check out the local gay hangouts and Craigslist -- one thing about being in a small and remote town is that the locals are always on the lookout for a fresh face so even if you're not a raving beauty you might find yourself having some luck, for free! Good luck!

I see that there are 23 "users" on gayromeo and 6 pages of guys on adam4adam. I suspect that some contact on either site or an "advert" on gayromeo would get results. I have never had the pleasure of St. John's but I had a good friend some years back who was Canadian and would take off to Newfoundland for a week of relaxing debauchery. He loved to drink and I understand that is the sport of Newfoundland, and pick up "real men". He did it again and agin and lived to tell the tale. I would probably put and advert on gayromeo for St. John's and see what happens. It's worked for me other places.

a barren land of boredom (and this is coming from a canadian).

ok, that was mean. it's actually quite pintoresque, people there are the NICEST of the NICEST and you'll feel welcome all the time. but i do have to say.... the gay stuff going on there is pretty low-key. all the gay newfies i know pretty much tell me the same thing: everyone's looking for a way out. even if you check the statistics, newfoundland & labrador are the provinces with highest migration rates, so the land itself is emptying pretty quickly while people move to Ontario, Quebec, Alberta or British Columbia.

so... in all honesty... Halifax is the closest thing to real civilization you'll have and you'd still need a plane ticket to get there...

if you don't mind my asking... why TWO WEEKS!? what are you doing there!?
