yes, these occasional reminders are important....thanks for posting.....though not utterly required, sticking with well-reviewed guys is one less worry.....

1. That's a cheap escort. $100/per hour, $20 more for anal? Is that the going rate in Ohio?!

2. It's unfortunate the police departments still waste their time on stuff like this. I can understand going after prostitution on the street, but setting up stings to catch some guy willing to pay someone in the privacy of a hotel room just seems stupid. I know I'm preaching to the choir here.

Thanks for sharing this. I find these two points of this story most salient:

1: "He (the client) had agreed upon a price during a phone call before the meeting," according to the police report.

2. "He made arrangements for certain acts...and requested 'full service' and stated he would bring condoms."

4. "A box of Magnum XL condoms and $195.70 in cash were taken as evidence."

OK, I embellished that last one, but don't you think they should have provided full disclosure?

This client was planning to use condoms too...good for him! No kids, no diseases, no nuttin', except the utter waste of precious police resources busting tax-paying citizens for nonsense. As long as neither party is being forced to do something they wish not to do, prostitution should be legal.

This is why you should come to Canada for all your prostitution needs..

I agree that this would be another reason to vacation in Canada. I wonder if there is any small print to be wary of when arranging for a meeting and being with a companion in Canada. When I travel to a foreign country I won't even cross against the light if there is no vehicle even blocks away for fear of transgressing. Countries including the US and Canada seem to be so strict about entry that one could not only find themselves with a ticket/fine but wind up on a list that doesn't allow for easy entry back in the future. For example, while I've never had a DWAI/DUI, I know people who had one in the US 30+ years ago and can't gain entry into Canada with requesting approval in advance and have heard there is a limit as to how many times they can do that. I think the US has the same type of entry restriction on people coming here from other countries with certain types of events on their record. So we should always act within the law, but I think having the added risk of (even unknowingly) transgressing and being unable to visit a country for perhaps the rest of your life furthers the concern.

There is no small print. The buying and selling of sexual services is legal in Canada. I often remind American clients making enquiries that they should feel free to be completely upfront about what they're looking for as we're not doing anything illegal. The only things to avoid here are soliciting in person in public places, attending brothels and procuring. The police have zero interest in escorts operating out of their own homes or doing outcalls and only hassle brothels if there are complaints.

I actually had a friend denied entry into Montreal when custom agents pulled him aside and searched their computers for evidence that he had broken the law in the US. When he volunteered that he indeed in fact had been arrested once, though briefly, for a DUI once. They sent him home on the next Delta flight out. He simply went home and caught another flight out of LA, and returned without any problems, but they would not tell him what parameters they use for denying entry. We surmised that it was simply a spot check that he was a victim of.

I was pulled aside on a couple of occasions and gone through about a 20 min question period where Canadian officials wanted to know about every traffic ticket I had ever gotten. It seemed really hit and miss. twenty plus trips there and I can't understand why officials pull some passengers aside and let others go. I have sat next to the most delightful and innocent passengers, only to see them separated from those disembarking and taken into rooms to be questioned....go figure.

I've travelled to Canada numerous times and have even hired a few escorts in Calgary, Vancouver and Toronto. Still, I had no idea that selling sex in Canada is legal. What rock have I been living under?! Mark, thanks for this great information.

Shit, that's even worse. The fucking bastards don't even let you get a work permit for something that's legal in their books. Fucking backwards ass country. Fuck the US and fuck Canada with their double-standards! They couldn't even give me a straight answer when I questioned why would I need a work permit for something that's "illegal". Then they changed it to, "well you can't get a work permit for that type of work." Hmmmm....so are you telling me you have American workers operating on the Canadian side who think it's illegal? Hell, in that case I should have not been allowed back into America either. They should have deported me to London, I'd be happy with that.

On a more serious note...I think there's something more going on in this article that's not being mentioned. They don't even say who messaged who first:

"[Groves] made arrangements for certain acts ... and requested 'full service' and stated he would bring condoms," the police report stated. A female officer from Beachwood posed as an escort in the sex-for-hire sting.

I think the officer should also be arrested for soliticing. That said, I agree with the comments in the article saying he should have went to something a bit more upscale in price, but I don't think it would have really made much of a difference.

What I find absolutely ridiculous about this story, is that a guy making 2.8M a year, cannot A) Get it on his own, being a professional athlete; B) Resorts to $100 escorts, rather than uber-expensive $400-500 an hour call-girls with reputations on comparable websites, like this? I can just picture him climbing into his $100,000 escalade which costs $90 a tank to fill up; to whip on down to the America's Best Value Inn for a $100 roll in the hay.

C!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) And I emphasize this point....having run http://www.newenglandstrip.com as my primary source of income the past 8 years; without kissing and telling names, teams, etc.- I've sent male and female dancers(never really BOOKED the entertainers to do more; left it to their discretion) to professional athletes before. Never at ANY time did these SMART players make the arrangements themselves...they have friends, go-betweens, and handlers who do all the leg work. When my dancers called me after the gigs, is when I was told who was actually there. I just fail to believe there is a 'party coordinator' who handles this shit for the Browns, with reliable providers.

Look at that Minnesota Vikings party boat sex scandal in the mid 2000's- they had a go between who reached out to ATLANTA to grab strippers/hookers and stick them on a plane, to cover that event.

So confusing, why he'd go slumming like that. LOL.

lol lol...sex and lust has nothing to do with how much money someone has. It is very often the 'little head' making the decisions for the 'big head'....when reading this I was laughing to myself and was reminded of the Hugh Grant scandal. Then the darling of Hollywood, handsome, sexy, successful with a career in full swing, and what does the man do? He goes down to Hollywood Blvd and picks up Ms. Divine, a rather scandalous hooker in her/his day. Now the "his" part is pure speculation, but rumors at the time suggested otherwise. After making the talk show circuit, and being very humble about the whole affair, well let's just say that everyone loved him.

When he was on Leno, it was one of the highest rated shows ever. I remember glued to the TV wondering what Jay was going to say. Jay just sort of looked at him, leaned over with a little smirk on his face and said, "What the hell were you thinking?" The audience came unglued with laughter....and the rest is history as they say.

Don't you think when all is said and done, we tend to forgive those indiscretions. I am not saying we should, but by and large, as long as we aren't hurting someone in the process, then the public tends to turn a blind eye.

That doesn't surprise me at all. Some people will pay a million dollars for a car, and only spend $20 on a pair of shoes. How much money someone makes it pretty irrelevent across the board when it comes down to quality. I'd imagine MOST extreme bargain hunters, are those who are filthy rich because they want it all. Of course, we have no idea who this $100 roll in the hay was pictured as. Maybe it was Gabrielle Union or Kim kardashian looking chick (of course, a poser who was actually a cop) that caught his attention while on his search for the $2,500 an hour bimbo bitch. Women have been getting men in trouble since the dawn of time. And the cop just happens to be a woman herself! (Reminds me of when Latoya Jackson played on Armed and Famous and pretended to be a street-walker).

I've had clients try and heavily entice me to accept a lower fee, and one drove up in a ginormous Infiniti QX56. Another client of mine refuses to pay me any more than my occasional special rate when we meet...yet I see him give me my fee amidst a pile of other bills. He recently informed me that he received a $60,000 inheritance. "Well that's non of your business" one might say. Well, it's my business now if he's telling me! Like damn, hire me for an overnight or something. You'll still have $59,000 left.

I think some guys get off on knowing: "I'm rich, you're poor, take what I give you". They deserve everything that comes and/or is coming for them. Go the next $100 thrill. Might be in for a rude-awakening, and you're lucky if it's just the cops that nab you. Of course, I should add that not everyone who charges $100 is a bad choice...but the issue comes for when someone specifically seeks out those types despite knowing what the going rates are.

P.S. damn, you and those guys on your website are HOT!
