I hope it isn't true....I was planning to go last night but had a date. Didn't see Tim's normal email for tonight's party, so what your informant said may be sad but true.

I was told that the NYC cops raided the Adonis nude party last night (Friday), and took Tim away in handcuffs. I'm sure my informant wasn't making this up, but I don't see anything about it here. What gives?

I believe all the dancers and guests got out okay, everyone was standing out on the street for awhile talking just after it happened... There were six to eight cops from what I saw, and they just said, "the party is OVER." I think they took the cash box. The dancers were eager to get out.

Was also there last night, and can confirm Jondar's version of events. But I left and didn't see anyone being taken out in handcuffs, so I can't speak to that part, although I saw the cops take the cash box. I had guessed it had something to do with serving alcohol w/o a liquor license, since the first thing the cops did when entering the main hall was order the bartender to stop serving drinks, and confiscate the cash box. But who knows what the real reason was for the raid. Hope Tim's okay.

With all the crime going on it never ceases to amaze me how cops decide to waste their time and our money.

If NYC is like Las Vegas, it is very difficult and expensive to obtain and retain a liquor license. Why bother with all the cost and aggravation if anybody and everybody can sell and serve alcohol without a license? Let's wait to find out for sure what happened, but I'm guessing the reason for the raid and arrest wasn't the lap dances & privates.

Somehow, I can't imagine that an experienced person like Tim would be serving alcohol without a license. He knows what can happen. I'm sure he's been through something like this before, and would be careful.

From what I am hearing, that is the least of his worries. Racketeering, prostitution, and embezzlement is what his major troubles are now. That is if the information I have received is accurate. :-/

Prostituiton? How was Adonis associated with it? I don't recall any solicitations at the club....or was it separate?

That's not accurate at all. As this information is all public record, feel free to inquire. The only charge was unlicensed sale of alcohol, nothing else.

The cops did arrive around midnight and shut down the event. They had zero interest in customers or dancers, speaking to none of them. It's unfortunate that a very special party, fun for so many on multiple levels, is now over, but ultimately they were just doing their job. The cops acted professionally and didn't make a scene.

Thank you to everyone for all the support. I'm more bummed for the loss of a very fun and much needed event for NYC, than for my own personal troubles that will come as a result. I've been through far worse in life like many others and Adonis' weekly Wed and Sat's will go on. I was there last night and we had a great show!

Tim,

I speak for myself and MANY on this site to say how relieved we all are that you are OK. This sounds like a setback -- but not a catastrophe. You will weather this storm as you've done often in the past. I agree, though -- it's such a shame that the nude shows will be a thing of the past --in NYC anyway. SO many of my clients (and escorts) have had such a great time there! Is there any way they can continue -- but without the alcohol sales? But I imagine it's more complicated than that...

Keep us posted!

If the Gaiety was able to pull it off for years - with no alcohol, you'd think that Adonis can make it work. Obviously, the vibe will suffer...but the alternative would be worse.

I'm sure the Overhead for Denise and The Gaiety was very little compared to Todays running this Biz in NYC!

I'm sure even in its Latter Days which paled in comparison to its "Heydays" it was still worth running for her up until 2005.

Most feel "No Booze/No Party" as was said not much Profit..Except for the Guys who do Privates!
