Ugly Coverboys?

Don't mean to be critical (since this site is excellent, and Hooboy works so hard to keep it up), but is it my imagination or have some of the recent coverboys been so butt-ugly that they could be arrested for visual assault?

 

Like Carlos #2 yesterday. I mean if that boy ever showed up at my door I would pay him just to go away, and go away fast. And its not if there weren't some other potentially outstanding alternate choices yesterday even though the list was short.

 

The boy from Las Vegas Chantler West was drop-dead gorgeous, Ryan #3 from NYC was way hot, and of course you can never go wrong picking the ever popular Michael Brandon who is now enconced in San Francisco with Monster (also one of the guys reviewed yesterday).

As they say different strokes for different folks. As far as Carlos #2 when I saw the picture of him I said out loud Oh, my God, who's that HOTTIE! All I will say is HOOBOY told us a while back they are a represetative of this whole site. Not just your like or my like. We can't have all twinks (although some IE MA would be in heaven) can't have all muscle boys or older,leather or whatever. Must be a nice mix and I sit back each day when I look for the coverboy and say, once again "HOO" was thinking about all of us even though it was not my preference cause I lean much like MA to the twinks but can go up some as well. People USUALLY whine that Hoo picks too many pretty twinks as coverboys. When he strays from that, people complain again.

 

The reality is, he picks from among the crop of that day's reviews. Whoever catches his eye gets the nod. And he actually DOES try for a variety of types.

Hooboy runs this site and I respect that but everyone is entitiled to an opinion. Some of you (deeg being one) get much too excited if anyone says anything that can be construed as critical of what Hooboy does. He's a man and should be able to take comments made, both good and not so good, for what they are.

It's just really funny. If he features coverboy twinks, people complain. If he goes the other direction, people complain.

Hi kjun, hope you are doing great. But imho, I believe you may have misunderstood some of the comments, especially deej's. I believe that he, Chuck, myself and others were just trying to state that there are a variety of escort types who appeal to a variety of client types, and that all types participate in this site. As such all types should be represented freely, without criticism, and that HB does try to satisfy that smorgasboard.

 

However, it seems that some people don't realize those facts, and when a type of escort (twink, muscle builder, etc.) is chosen as cover boy that is not their personal preference that they launch a criticism against HB accusing him of always choosing someone not their type.

 

Twink lovers do it when a muscle guy is cover boy and muscle lovers do it when a twink type is cover boy. Why is what I don't understand and question. And what is really incomprehensible is to call someone butt ugly just because his type is not your personal preference.

 

That is truly insulting number one to the escort chosen as cover boy, number two to those clients who hire the type of escort chosen as the cover boy, and last, but not least to HooBoy who has to try to satisfy a wide range of customers.

 

If you do or ever have worked in a business that was mostly client/customer based, whether retail, dining, IT, agency or otherwise, you can understand the difficulty involved in trying to satisfy everyone as best as you can. The last thing you need in these situations is unwarranted, unnecessary criticism from one customer who demands that he always come first, especially when he does so at the risk of alienating all your other customers.

Carlos#2 is a doll--he's gorgeous, and as much as vahawk and I disagree on other things, I think we have always agreed on the bois}( and do here again.

 

But as others have pointed out, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, even so, if you are going to level a criticism like that, why humiliate the kid by singling him out? Its very rude and inconsiderate not to mention totally insensitive and caused me to say to myself, you wouldn't be doing CARLOS#2 the favor by sending him away:+
