Hey guys, I wanted to know what are the best gay bars in Vegas? I will be there Sunday-Wednesday night :-( not on the weekend.

Also anyone know if any of the hotel spas are a good place to hook up?

Go to Gay Las Vegas it talks about all the clubs. from Gypsy's to the new one. Never much luck hooking up at the spas. There are some local masseuers though I found one on line he came and gave a good masssage and nice BJ and all. So check it out Chuck HUGS

The Hotel Spas, no. AOL and Gay com chat rooms may give you some benefit, and it might be worth it to you to invest in the free trial on AOL if you are not a member or beg someone who is to let you use their account as a sub-account for those days.

I would plan on seeing some of the shows, eating well, doing a lot of walking and being surrounded by more middle class heterosexuals than God perhaps intended. If you wree a straight men, there are plenty of people hanging out fliers for lap dances as you walk down the strip, but not much for "the gays" as Karen Walker might say.

I spent my free afternoons mid-week exploring the hotel architecture, sampling the buffets (Bellagio is worth the money at lunch, Bally's is a good deal and the servers are the Alice diner types) and my free evenings catching shows or people watching (especially in the casinos).

Good luck!

Las Vegas is somewhat homophobic :( . There are a few gay bars though not really the type of places you'll be able to hook up with anyone. There are a few very large adult stores with private video booths. In past years I've had some fun there. Mostly guys straight or gay just looking to get off. The Adult Superstore I believe is on West Tropicana and there is a fun place on Paradise and Flamingo (northeast corner).

Maybe you should consider hiring one of the Las Vegas escorts to act as your guide during your stay :) . Im sure they are far more up to date on the lastest places than most. If you like twinks I recommend Bobby Lane :9 .

The bar part is easy. There is an area called locally--even in the newpaper--as the "fruit loop". There are about 5 gay bars within a 1/2 block radius in the area of Naples (block south of of Tropicana)and Paradise Rd. This includes Gypsy, probably the best gay dance club. I find it disappointing that the gay bars don't have much action until after 10pm. The best place to stay may be the Hard Rock Hotel, 1 block north of the fruit loop. Every afternoon during the summer its swimming pool area is packed with you guys and gals. No children or families.

Thanks for the info. so far keep it cumming! Just FYI this is my 6th trip to LV, HOWEVER I've never tried the "gay scene" there. In the past I went on company business with too many others around with no chance to escape. LOL

I may consider trying the massage route or even one of the escorts from this board. I'm gonna play it by ear for now and see what happens.

PS.. Anyone care to recommend a good masseur that offers release? Also FYI I'm on AOL thanks for the input.

If you do nothing else on your trip to Las Vegas, you should try and get an appointment in advance with Alec Powers. One of the hottest guys on the planet and genuinely nice too.

That said, I agree with most of the other posters. The Hard Rock Hotel is probably one of the coolest places to stay, and certainly more gay friendly than some of the others. Gets a very hip crowd and the music is a lot cooler than what you hear piped in to a lot of the other casinos. It's also right around the corner from the Gypsy Bar, almost walking distance. You will of course want to go and check the casinos on the strip, but they are only a five minute cab ride away.

The Gypsy is still the biggest gay bar in town with live strip shows and some nights it can be pretty good. Don't expect the kind of club you would find in New York or LA however, it's a little run down and doesn't look like the decor has changed much since the 70's. The Good Times Bar can also be fun on Monday nights (the night the shows are dark and most of the gay boys in them go out). Other nights are hit and miss. In a little shopping center that also houses the Liberace Museum. Also pretty close to the Hard Rock.

Escort scene is fair, but not what you would expect in such a high roller place.

I will be in Vegas in July and am staying at the Alexis Park Resort and Spa across the street from Hard Rock, has anyone stayed there or know anything about it? A guy who lived in Vegas recommended it. Been in the chat room in Vegas and not much going on, all say the bar scene is pretty bad. Did find a couple of guys who want to meet for 3-ways with me and my retired escort I see several times a year though<G>!}(

Alexis park is a fine "all suite"property. The only draw back is it has no casino. Also it is a low lying property so there are no views to speak of.

Some of the Gay bars (the aforementioned fruitloop)are within walking distance,as is the new HAMBURGER MARYS-great place, lots of fun.

And I agree,The Hard Rock is great for eye candy, and I have picked up a couple of guys there.

I forgot to mention,in response to your original query,my favorite bars are the Cobalt(in commercial center-a short drive from the hotels)Free Zone and the buffolo(both in the fruitloop)

And yes, thing do happen in the hotel spas.It used to be the Tropicana-but that was years ago.Now the Luxor and Manalay bay are the ones I hear scandalous reports on.

The Hard Rock is an okay place to stay, although I found that there is such a thing as too much continuous rock and roll in public areas. They did have some cute boys on staff when I stayed there.

The Apollo bathhouse was a disappointment, when I was there the private rooms were "dressing rooms" only, it was against the rules to take someone else into your room with you (not that it wasn't happening).

Thanks for the feedback. I'm staying 2 nights at the Golden Nugget in downtown and 2 nights at the Luxor. Glad to hear there might be some action at the Luxor! I read online where the spa is open 24 hours thats cool. I also plan on checking out the blue moon resort.
