I grew up with wine and alcoholic beverages so the idea of clebrating with both my father and mother is neither unusual nor unexpected. Unfortunately, my father passed away some time ago. However, given the circumstances presented: (1) were I the father, I would not invite myself, were I invited, I would come along and try not to stick out like a sore thumb; (2) were I the son, I would likely invite my father were he gay and we were on good terms. I would admit that I would take caution with the guests.

 

I also agree with Jeff's point: I assume you mean celebrate some event like Gay Pride, not attend a circuit party or drug induced orgy....

I'm not big on partying (never did it in my 20's at all, never had a desire to do it, but have tried it a few times in the past couple of years just to see what all the hype was about & it wasn't about anything I particularly need to do again) however I'd fuckin' love to secretly slip my parents some ecstacy. As I understand it, the father threw a party in his home to celebrate some event and invited what appeared to be many twinks to attend. I don't know about drug use, but there did appear to be a lot of sex going on at the party. Were the twinks escorts? I don't know. (According to the escort, his Dad did not know that the son had been escorting, but this party thing raises some interesting possibilities.) I can't imagine having such a relationship with my father such that he would invite me to a party like that (but then again he is not gay). Is this any different from Hugh Heffner going cruising for chicks with his son or daughter?

 

I guess it focussed a question that I have had for a while about the family backgrounds of escorts, and dark curiosity about the prevalence of past abuse etc.

In today's world, "partying" no longer means "throwing a party." It means "taking recreational drugs". However, having a lot of sex is still defined as just having a lot of sex (which I prefer over partying). And "PNP" means "party and play" which is a combination of the two. :o
