I'm catching up on my DVR and they've started airing the second season of the re-booted DALLAS. They've cast TV veteran Judith Light this season and not only does she look bad (or maybe odd is the better word) but she's playing the mother of an actor who is only THREE years younger than she is. Gosh, I thought the days of that went out 40 years ago!

I do not believe there is a photographer around who could make this woman a flattering Light. Always liked her light and breezy demeanor.

Her left eye and the surrounding cavity looks like it melted or something. It's bizarre. But I wonder is she so hard up for jobs that she'd play the mother of someone who clearly is the same age as she is?

I'd never heard of her so I looked her up on Wikipedia. Looks like she's done a lot for our community.

Which "our" community is that? And, I'm sorry, but WTF does that have to do with anything????

Not everything in the world relates to gayness or being gay. There's quite a bit that has nothing to do with it. Some people's relating everything to that is rather nauseating.

I suppose if she looks good in person they must have made her up just to look bad on TV.

I remember watching Judith Light as Karen Wolek on One Life to Live. She had an absolutely amazing scene - which I remember, where she admitted, during a court testimony, that she was a prostitute. This was a shock to the entire town and her devoted husband, Dr Larry Wolek. I was in tears during this scene.

I did not realize that there were two new Dallas series now. I am aware of the series on TNT which is a continuation of the original series. The late Larry Hagman, Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy have reprised their roles. It surprises me that there is a reboot series as well. A reboot is where they take the original characters and recast with new actors. The 2009 Star Trek movie is an example.

What's even more fascinating is that Judith Light would be playing roles on both series at the same time. Does she play the same person on each show? Is she playing Miss Ellie on this reboot? What network is it on and what time?

Welcome to the land of the anal-retentive.

My apologies. I guess its too much to expect you to know what you're talking about or to use accurate terminology.

Have you ever heard the phrase "unable to see the forest for the trees?"
