Does anyone know anything about Matt Hyland (aka Matt Jackman)? I know he used to live outside NYC with his brother and worked both in and out of the city. I haven't seen anything about him in a while.

I remember him most for a headline he once wrote for one of his profiles (can't recall if it was an ad or a private profile on a hookup site) where he declared, "I'm 5'7" dammit!" I remember thinking, there must be a story behind this odd headline.

 

Five foot seven appears to be the threshold acceptable height for people shorter than that: online hookups of mine have declared themselves that height only to arrive shorter. I once walked beside Hyland in NYC, and someone I know who is actually 5'7" was standing next to him, and Hyland was much shorter. I recalled his former headline at that point.

When college is in session I'm in Cambridge weekly and often think about hiring him, but for some reason I can't get myself to follow through. Not sure why....maybe I'm insecure about hiring a porn actor, who knows. Maybe when Spring semester starts I'll finally get up the nerve to hire him.

Just this evening I was with 2 porn actors who are also escorts -- and they were not only perfect companions but they have absolutely no airs about them, not stand-offish at all. Sure some porn actors can be a hand-full but there are others who are absolutely delightful.

I'll second that. The porn stars I've been with have been wonderful experiences: Jason Branch & Blake Harper, Marcus Iron, Aaron Brandt, Devon Hunter, Matthew Ford, Trent Locke, a few guys who said they'd done porn but I don't know their porn names, and one guy who said he was a Playgirl model (I can't confirm or deny that). Professional in their bookings and tons of fun.

This has been said many times - it really depends on each porn star as to whether it will be a good, bad or just okay experience. Some of the best hires have been porn stars and some of the best hires have been guys that said they would never even consider doing porn.

 

It really just depends. I hired Matt a couple of times in NY a number of years ago and he was accomplished at both top and bottom. As far as NY goes, I think there are a couple of other guys I would hire before Matt.

That's good to know. To be clear, my insecurity was less about the personality of the porn actor escort and more about myself. I know it may sound strange, but even though I'm paying for their time, I feel awkward around people who are "too experienced or too attractive" compared to myself if you know what I mean. I tend to hire guys that are are attractive and fit but not in an over the top way. So nothing against the hot porn actors or other super hot escorts....I just haven't been able to feel comfortable around them yet.

 

Having said that I am curious what brought Matt to Boston from NJ/NYC. I have heard good things about him and have seen some of his videos.
