I am not in Atlanta, else I would be heading to Starbucks, but I wanted to complement you on reaching out to other members for in-person meetings. Kudos to you!!

If you’re bored, I am planning to be at Starbucks at Ansley mall in Atlanta around 3:00, 1/6/13. I will be wearing a brown/blue/bone stripe sweater, stop in and say hello.

I don't go to that starbucks. All the watchful eyes get me paranoid. (And i'm not saying this because I'm full of myself, ANYONE who knows anything about this starbucks knows its way too gay for even some of the gayest of men)

Edit: I actually don't go to starbucks. Its horribly overpriced!!!

Just a word to the wise when you consider posting specific personal information here, keep in mind you’re posting on the internet for all to see, not sitting in your living room chatting with friends.

wow, if only the DC shindig was seemingly this easy to set up!..

May I share not a secret but an obervation? I don't like their plain coffee either but I really don't drink coffee any more. :)

Best regards,

it could be, if we would all just agree to wear brown/blue/bone stripe sweaters...

Thanks for the comments! Starbucks was packed today, none of the member came, which I thought was a long shot anyway. It was a beautiful day here in Atlanta.

I always find the images Starbucks projects and the one I have is so different. I hear how over priced and how fattening their drinks are, but it’s just a nice coffee house to me, with comfortable seating, free Wi-Fi and usually nice music playing. I never pay more than $1.80 for a cup of coffee with zero calories and sometimes I splurge and get a slice of pound cake around $2.50.

Oh! It is a beautiful sweater!

I’m not sure what I should be worried about? I want to meet in Public place and I not going to wear my name tag.

Confession: I rarely drink their coffee either. Years ago, when i was in Seattle, some of the locals called them 'Charbucks', and after that, their coffee did seem over-roasted to me.

Can I share a secret? They also serve plain coffee.

I was thinking the same thing. They also sell various varieties of plain tea as well as steamed apple cider (or juice, depending on the region).

I am not wild about their plain coffee, either, but at least it has some flavor, unlike many shops that dip a brown crayon in some hot water. I do, however, enjoy a tall americano with an extra shot. That and a slice of lemon pound cake and I am all set.

Agree. Wonder if they do that so they can accept greater variability in bean quality?

That said, I do love that they have a quad espresso as a standard item on the cash register -- $2.96, I think -- although they evidently find it too dangerous to post on the menu board.

Sorry I missed your meet & greet offer. Coincidentally, when Decaturguy and I met for lunch last month, we talked about organizing a lunch get together for locals, clients, escorts, and lurkers. Post a day/time/place on here and see who shows. Since we know at least one more local who is interested in some face-to-face social interaction, we need to do it.

On the few occasions I visit starbucks, I skip the coffee and choose tea. Their coffee is not pleasant, and it helps that I'm a tea lover. I enjoy all kinds of tea. African rooibos is my fave.

I haven't been to a Starbucks in years. Can't stand the whole pretense of it--"vente lattes" etc. Much prefer locally-owned places with character.

I assume your real name isn't jj69action and you don't give your street address in your profile.

JJ is his nickname. I also call him my other brother from another mother. And look at his reviews and you'll know he's in Vegas.
