Posting Travel Schedules

Escorts, is there an ideal time (for you) for a client to make an advance appointment? Is a week before too short? Is a month before too long? Personally, I like to know who's available and who I'm seeing a month in advance. And I have never broken an appointment.

 

I live in Sacramento so I "live" by posted travel schedules, especially to San Francisco. When someone like CoolNChillGuy posts that he'll actually be in Sacramento Christmas week, but he doesn't post it (here) until he's halfway through the visit, what's a guy like me supposed to do?? I long ago (at least two weeks) had my January schedule set, let alone December. I'd have booked CNCG like a shot, but not on such short notice. Am I being unrealistic? Do I just have to learn to be patient and move at the "last moment"? Should I turn to combing Rentboy, M4RN, and Rentmen every day for planned visits to SF? I don't expect consensus, but I would appreciate some guidelines.

Short Answer: A week is not too short, but there is the risk the escort’s calendar might be full. But it does not hurt to ask. And a month before is not too long, particularly if you set a date and time and check in with each other a couple of times as the appointment approaches. There is the risk that the further in advance the appointment is the more likely something will go askew with either the escort’s or client’s schedules, but a month is reasonable for most people to plan their schedules.

With regards to options for posting travel announcements, options are not fantastic for escorts. The “Escort Travels” section here in the Forum is great because it allows an escort to post well in advance, but unfortunately a lot of escorts don’t know about it. In the instance of “CoolNChillGuy” I’ll add some insight… I met him in an appointment the other evening, and while we were waiting for the client to arrive we got to talking about Daddy’s Reviews. He was not aware of the Forum, so I told him about it and encouraged him to participate. That would explain how in this instance he posted dates in the midst of a visit already in progress. But it did show that while a lot of guys (both clients and escorts) know about the review, they do not always know about the Forum.

 

Rentmen only allows posting of travel dates one month in advance of the date, so that has its limitations. Rentboy does not allow posting of travel at all – instead the escort needs to take out a separate travel ad, and pay for every day that it is visible. If an escort is trying to conserve resources he may not post until just before his trip. So in both cases Rentmen and Rentboy you do have to comb Rentboy, M4RN, and Rentmen every day for planned visits.

 

One of the few features I liked with M4RN was that it DID allow options to post travel cities, either with specific dates or “willing to travel to.” I would alternate with listing San Jose, Santa Rosa, and Sacramento as “willing to travel to” and would occasionally get appointments set up that way. From the client’s perspective it might have been frustrating because it would be hard to know how serious an escort would be to actually do the travel, but at least it was an option.

 

It would be useful if the listing websites allowed some kind of email notification/update that announced traveling escort’s schedules. I get something like that from one of the massage websites each week, with listings of who is or will be visiting. But to my knowledge neither Rentboy or Rentmen offer this (but someone correct me if I’m wrong). Some escorts have their own email lists that they use to announce travel, but that only works with guys you’ve already made contact with.

 

OK enterprising tech people, is there an app that could be developed for this?

It seems to me that very few escorts post their travel schedule on this site, which means that, yes you have to look on Rentmen, Rentboy etc. It has been my experience that when an escort is traveling their schedule tends to fill-up early on, so I have made it a practice to contact them as soon as I become aware that they will be in my area.

The rentmen site strikes me as being motivated to be a good serivce provider to both clients and escorts, and maybe if an advertiser

proposed the idea of an RSS feed / advertiser, that might be a way to send out travel notices?

For me at least within a months time works best since I have a lot of other things going on in my life. Though I do take last minute requests it's just harder based on my schedule.

Depending on how busy one wants to be, I'd say anything between 2-3 days and 4 weeks. More than a month ahead of time would be time-consuming (in terms of returning inquiries) and cost-ineffective (in terms of advertising and paying for the travel ads)

 

But as you can imagine this isn't "exact science" and everyone's got his own modus operendi. The key is to find what works for you. But hey, some people never schedule ahead of time. They grab the phone and call randomly those who might be available "right here right now".

 

Personally, I'd prefer to book a week or so ahead of time. I do not particularly like the last minute appointments in the spur of the moment.

It's rare anyone books me a month of so in advance but I did have a few booked in for the week running up to Christmas, one being booked in 2 months in advance. These were guys who were coming to Newcastle to see family etc over the Christmas period. Normally guys who pre-book with me usually do so about a week in advance. I had one booked in for 21st December that was booked mid-November and as usual, I emailed him a few days before just to check we were still going ahead, he replied with yes, then didn't phone on the morning to confirm the arrangement, completely wasting my time. I don't understand why they do it. In November I had an appointment booked in that had been made in the summer with a guy from Houston, Texas who was coming to the UK with his wife (who is from here) and knew she had theatre tickets with her sister one evening and so wanted me to join him in his hotel room for a few hours. When he booked it in June, I laughed to myself and never thought it would come off in a million years but it did.

I usually post my travel schedule about a month in advance; both on this site as well as on Men4rentnow.com.

 

I don't really think there is a too long or too short when it comes to scheduling. I've taken appointments months in advance, as well as at the last minute.
