This is a good time to see a Broadway show since it gives theater goers a chance to make a contribution to "Broadway Cares". Collections are taken after the performance and the star of the show gives a little speech. This worthwhile organization puts on "Broadway Bares" which takes place in the spring, a Sunday night extravaganza with Broadway dancers stripping to raise money to fight AIDS. It's an amazing show and well worth the $35 (or more, if you're generous) admission. I'll post details when I get them.

Right now theaters are selling show posters autographed by the performers. Skip "Urban Cowboy" and buy the poster instead.

Hey Foxy - The Broadway Bares show is scheduled for Sunday, June 15, at the Roseland Ballroom., 230 W 52nd Street. There are two performances, one at 9:30 PM and one at 12 Midnight. The earlier performace tickets vary from $40 up depending on where you stand. The midnight tickets are all $40. Already ordered mine by caling 212-840-0770. Hope this helps all guys interested in attending. :+

Any thoughts about which show is the best to attend? I tend to be early to bed, but I suspect that in NY, the midnight show might be a bit more fun (loose? wild?)

Thanks TN for posting this info. I've always gone to the earlier show myself. It's a very popular event and both shows are usually packed. I should point out for those who have never been that there are both men and women (sorry) stripping and it's a pretty "G" rated show. You could take your mother and not be worried. It's no Gaiety show, but you get real Broadway dancers (great bodies) with amazing original costumes and dramatic lighting. The downside is you have to stand for the show. There's a bar and the audience is fun and very enthusiastic. Afterwards the dancers get much closer to the audience and you can tip them directly. Watch your hands! How often can you tip a stripper and write it off as a charitable deduction? It's a fun show and always has a theme. Last year was comic book super heroes. It's a good cause and all this talent donates their time and deserves support.

Lucky - In my last move, I seem to have misplaced the address for ordering a copy of the videotape. Would you mind posting it here?

And, Didn't it used to be Broadway Cares - Equity Fights AIDS? Have they changed the name or are we a teensy confused?
