It's hard for me to understand the appeal of either the book or its male protagonist. Based on the summaries I've read, it sounds like a plain gold digger who's willing to be taken advantage of by a rich asshole because that's the only way she can get him.

 

He reminds me of a guy I fell for while in college, though that guy was far from young and handsome.
