I'm not sure if I'm not getting it or I missed something in my elderly ages of 58 years old. So I look at Adam4Adam under Pro's; and a number of times you'll see "masseur" advertising. So, they are advertising under "pro" and in their ad they go on to describe their size, weight, dick size, versatile or not, etc; then when you ask if they are available for a sensual massage they become offended. "I'm a certified massage therapist"...ok, so why are you advertising under "Pros" in A4A? This isn't the classified honey. am I wrong. If so then I will move on.

Do you ask them why they have their dick size and versatile or not in the ad? If so, what do they say? I would confront them about their advertising.

This topic has come up several times in the massage forum (The Spa). Guys advertise nonsexual massage, but show their dick in their ads. So many "nonsexual" masseurs have had sex with me that it is a rare thing to find someone who means the "nonsexual" part. Of course, that was back when I was young and pretty. Now they probably mean it!

Anyway, who can get a massage by a cute masseur without looking like this:

I think it can be a matter of interpretation, too. When I click on the PROS link, the heading of the page becomes “Professionals” and in my area right now I see ads for $ Therapist $, $ Consultant $, and $ Contractor $ in addition to the escorts and masseurs. I’ve also seen ads for realtors and computer repairmen in this section. On a couple of occasions I’ve seen the same exact profiles minus the occupations, in the members online pages. My assumption is that they are offering their professional services in ads, while also looking for hookups or relationships in the members pages without creating two separate profiles. Could also be the situation with some of the masseurs you‘re contacting.

There’s also the possibility that the masseurs can be hired for a massage only, but then can be “enticed” into more in person once they are certain the client is not in law enforcement.

I highly advise against any usage of that website. It is crawling with illegal drug abusers, users and dealers. beware!! ... and undercover cops looking to bust those types

Nah. If anything it's more crawling with guys who lie about their HIV status, timewasters and rude inconsiderate 'prospects'. Of course there's some good apples to be had and I have met some good guys. Nowadays though, I stick with APPs

However, it can also bring 'some' good clients. However for me, I use it for 30 days...then may not use it again for 3 months. And I definentely don't use it at home for advertising anymore as too many people I know use the site and don't like being out on the town being asked if I still escort or they seen my ad. Annoying...

As for the massage thing...you know, I just don't have time for the confusion. All this 'might be enticed to doing more' stuff doesn't fly with me. If you're going to want to do more, you're going to have to pay more. And most of the ones on adam won't. And I was recently hired by a gay male masseur who does massages professional but does not advertise on massage m4m/masseurfinder etc. for that reason. He's gay, but he won't do anything sexual with a client. He has a separate office. When we discussed this, it just further confirmed that it must be a distinct line between the 2.

It's just confusing though. You know...when you talk about these massage sites, you're going to get clients when the escort ads aren't going. Even if the client has looked at the escort ad already. They may not call the escort ad for whatever reason, they may call the massage ad. The expected solution would be to just advertise escort services/rates on the massage site. Unfortunently, it doesn't quite work that way. I can't advertise $150 or $200 for 'massage' because other than certain areas...most aren't going to pay it. That's why they didn't call men4rent, they called massagem4m. But...I believe other masseurs have probably spoiled clients by allowing more to happen without separating the service. This is what fucks shit up. Or, the client maybe does not know or expects there to be more money involved...but that's doubtful. I don't think clients are dumb.

We almost have to use massage to get clients in the door...because that's exactly what they are doing. But this time around I've been firm. For example, mytfirst massage after a long layoff...client asks to give me a blowjob. I say, "I don't include that as part of my massage service". They're not going to go to massage envy and get that. Treat me professionally. If you want a massage, get a massage. If you want sexual stuff, pay for it. You may think $80 extra is 'steep', but if you give me a STD from the last guy you sucked off...I have to pay $80 for a doctor's visit plus prescription meds. Get off my dick....

I share the reserve that you guys have about the pro section on adam4adam. The only two guys that I recommend are 'JockTopVisitor' and '5hotpockets'. These guys deliver an outstanding massage that seamlessly evolves into a very sexual experience. I have nothing but nice things to say about them.

Other than with these two, I have been reluctant to pull the trigger with a pro on a4a. I don't know how it is elsewhere, but here in NYC there are a lot of rif-raf and fakes out there. I have heard horror stories of guys here in NYC who invited some of these 'pros' to their apartments, with the most dire consequences. Theft being one of them. The image that comes to mind are the rough trade who got out of Rickers Island and hung out at the Port Authority in the late 1980s and 1990a. DO NOT THINK OF INVITING A PRO FROM A4A IN NYC TO YOUR HOME.

yes there's a lot of confusion about these two services and there's A LOT of bait and switch... guys using their hard cocks as advertising and then getting all offended and shit when you want to get busy.

HOWEVER, Adam4Adam *does* differentiate between "Masseurs" and "Escorts"... something tells me this confusion is *exactly* what they were trying to avoid by having w separate categories...
