Considering a trip to London. Who are the "shouldn't miss" escorts in the area? What is the gay bar/scene like? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have been to London several times in the last year and have been visiting gay London since the early 1970s. I miss the old Chelsea pubs like the Colherne and the Boltons (closed), but recently discovered Halfway II Heaven, 7 Duncannon Street, London just off Trafalgar Sq and directly opposite St. Martin’s in the Fields. I am not normally a fan of Karaoke, but the way these folks sing and entertain, well, …. I stopped in for a drink and rolled out stinking drunk six hours later. It was a great time.

My experience with gaydar web site has been very good for the uk, at least for me. Gay Romeo is another decent option but I find it better for the rest of Europe. No direct experience with sleepyboy but it looks pretty good.

Because I am more often on the continent than in England, I have mostly stuck to gayromeo even in Britain; however, I do have a gaydar account, but have not actually hooked-up using it.

Gaydar and Gay Romeo are the best sites for escorts in London.

Mac64, you've been given good advice.

 

I'm based in London and my strong advice is that you take out a membership to gaydar (it's less than $100 for a year, but you can buy a month or so) and thus view all profiles and photos; on gayromeo, you can see everything for free.

 

Please do extensive research online as there are hundreds of guys working in London. The number is into the thousands if you include the 'broke' guys and amateurs who use gaydar, manhunt and Craigslist to meet 'generous' men. Also, London attracts many fit guys from overseas (eg Brazil, US, eastern Europe) who come to London and 'work' for a certain period, so be careful as they often use the photos of models etc to attract clients.

 

FWIW it's unheard of to pay in advance. Such a request normally denotes a hustler or a scam. The rate of pay hasn't increased in years; incalls are £70-120 and outcalls are £80-140 with £100/$160 being common; only guys with a very handsome face and a ripped, muscled body can ask and get £150-200/$240-320 for complete service. Beware if a guy asks you to pay for cab-fare as taxicabs are expensive and in slow London traffic, such fares can easily exceed $40.

When you check out Gaydar, also look for the guys who live there who are not escorts, but want some variety in their life. My last trip there I met two great guys... they could have been escorts based on their looks, build and equipment, but one was an attorney and one was an accountant. Both were looking for some fun with american guys and both showed me around London in addition to the fun times we had in my hotel room. I found the Brits to be very friendly toward Americans... so enjoy !!
