So I was thumbing through TV and saw the reruns of the show Gigolos on showtime. Fascinating about a bunch of guys in Vegas who escort for women in vegas.

 

First I was a bit surprised, the women in there were quite hot and one would think they could get their pick of men-especially in a town like Vegas. But that aside, the one guy Nick Hawk was awesome and the new guy with the long hair looked interesting. But just surprised at the premise of the show and didn't realize there was such a big market for women.

 

I wonder if any of the escorts here service women and how does it differ from men?

I think the second guy is the same as the first-Nick Hawk of the show gigolos. I really like him-he is hot! I am surprised at the show, the amount of nudity, frontal and sex acts they show. Not complaining, but haven't watched TV in awhile, so was surprised by this gem of a show! I was watching one of the marathons, where they show the season one after the other.

I'm obviously not an escort and not a woman but I'd like to respond to the question about why "hot" women would hire escorts.

Perhaps they are successful women who have a minimum amount of time to find "suitable" men to squire(not escort) them to social events; and perhaps this convenience leads to a more intimate relationship.

Perhaps women who live in certain metropolitan areas have a very large number of "hot" attractive women they have to compete with for men---I'm thinking particularly of NYC, Southern California, Washington, DC and others. It might be easier to just hire a toy boy than go through the rigamarole of more traditional roles. There is the possibility that the women may want a casual relationship with hot guys where they are in control----can begin and end the trysts when they want. And perhaps women who hire escorts are like men who hire---because they can.

Well, we seem to be dimissing or overlooking the fact that men also hire "female" escorts, and I was wondering if more men hire female than male? Obviously man on man encounters is satisfying a very "specific" need other than a need for Sex. As well, how many women hire "female" escorts ??? The combinations are endless and I am certain there are markets for EVERY scenario.

Relationships are different, but for just having a good time, I assume most of the people I hire would not want to do it free with me. I defnitely do find people, just not up to the ones I hire. I am ok, not wealthy and drive an ancient car and in an ok business. I have no qualms and hang ups about it-it is what it is . I was just surprised at the women in the show-many of whom looked gorgeous and wondering why they needed to hire. But I guess in the big cities, yes, perhaps they do it because it cuts down on time and having to meet someone in a bar and take a stranger back-as opposed to a well reviewed stranger.

If people in Real life were able to hookup with their "Fantasy" partner, there would be NO escorts. They fill a niche. I have always been able to find guys I felt were attractive enough for a "playtime", so hiring for me is not as extensive as for most others on this site. However when I want MY fantasy, I do hire. I watch the show every week and quite frankly, have concluded that it is all "fiction". First of all, I agree with Jirkwood that the guys are sleazy, to say the least....don't find any of them attractive. LOL..I have read this thread with interest as I have never or would I ever watch the show. I don't care for reality TV. That being said, personally I have to disagree with those who don't find the guys attractive...really? Are we looking at the same guys?

 

And sleazy is certainly a matter of personal taste. Who among us has not been with an escort that we would consider a little sleazy. Some of these guys advertise as escorts, and while people have made comments about them, I have never heard the word sleazy....Many times I will click on to links that other members recommend as escorts, and most of the time I wouldn't go home with the guy if I met him in a bar and he hit on me...EACH TO HIS OWN..so that being said, and knowing I will get a lot of grief for this post...LOL

I've not watched the reality show where these male escorts appear, but when I visited the link provided, the first thing I noticed was that the escorts were "For Women." I suppose it's possible that a male escort could service both male and females, but I think it more likely that a male escort would stick to one or the other. Having laid that groundwork, escorts that physically appeal to women may not share all the attributes that would appeal to men.

 

As someone above pointed out---even those of us who are gay males and hire escorts, have very different taste in who we prefer. My Mr. Wonderful may be Bigvalguy's "Mr. Sleazy." and vice versa. The men who were hired for this show obviously appealed to the casting director/producers/and perhaps the women appearing there.

 

As to the question of who would appear in a tv reality show about hiring male escorts??? I don't believe there is any shortage of people willing to appear on almost any reality tv show, otherwise there wouldn't be so many of them. Eventually, I hope, they will disappear---victims of over supply and dwindliing demand.

Interesting site, thanks for posting the link. I concur that there is very strong gay vibe from many of the guys. Tommy in Miami. Or even Darren in New York. Maybe it's all wishful thinking from my part. Although the owner of the service company won't admit it in public - for fear of killing the franchise with women clients - I wonder whether they would be agreeable to discreetly send over one of the guys if a man called. I watch this show. But it's more of a reenactment than a reality show. The guys are really escorts, the show is filmed in Vegas but most of the guys don't live there and most only work part time. Since females tend to hire for longer hours they can still do well. Two things on this show that are not real. The sex. The sex is simulated just a reenactment no penetration. The women on the show are not their real clients. they are actresses hired by the producers to play out a scene based of the story's of the escorts on the show
