Any Card Players?

Hey All, I am wondering if there are any guys who are into playing poker here, especially Texas Hold'em .

 

I usually play several times a week in a 4 - 8 game. Would love to chat about the game if anyone cares to do so. Also, would be interested in meeting other players located in California.

Me and three of the twinks (and occassional guest players).

 

The loser of each hand removes one item of clothing, whoever gets the Queen of Spades also loses one item of clothing, whoever gets the Jack of Diamonds may replace one item of clothing per hand. If you manage to get all the hearts, you can either put all your clothes back on or make everyone else in the game take off one item of clothing.

 

We also still play to 100 points as that is where we stop the game, usually to watch a movie.

Ah, Pincochle. In order to make a foursome in NYC I used to play with a gay couple and a lesbian friend. Then there are the inevitable, "well, I grew up playing with these rules" arguments. It was a fun and cheap way to spend the evening and who was ever paired up with lesbian was on the winning team. The couple would argue about why the less skilled player threw out "that card". We would have interesting conversations and listen to show tunes (thank goodness, my lesbian friend liked showtunes). My whole family use to play and now I am the only one who still does.

 

Cards - a nice alternative to movies, dinners and bars for get-togethers.

I used to play cards often. In fact I kinda miss the fun of taking an evening and getting to spend it playing with card buddies (excuse the expression). I am in SoCal area and have enjoyed playing a number of different card games, including poker, pinnochle, eucher, hearts, gin, and bridge (not very good at this last one). Been a long time however and I am probably very rusty at all of them. But would like to explore getting together with other card players periodically.
