I'm sure Frank would have got a kick out of this, if it had happened while he was still alive. It's much better than getting a street named for you.

Word. And I didn't know Kameny was an astronomer.

Unfortunately, the only places where one can have a career as an astronomer are in academia or in government. Frank was fired from his govt. position when his sexual orientation was exposed, and that also limited his ability to get academic jobs in the 1950s and 60s. It was a terrible waste of his scientific abilities.
