I've been getting allot of these waiting until the last minute to do anything types. i'm normally 10am to 10pm everyday but sunday. on sunday noon to 7 now tonight im having to work until 10 pm because everyone sat at home on their ass all day and waited until 5:30 to call. did a 90 minute at 6 now doing another 90 minute massage at 8:30 the other 3 that called will just be out of luck.. people waiting until 6pm to ask if you can do a 7pm massage

 

I think it is good that you limit the times and have set hours. Masseurs and escorts have lives like everyone else. I think many of you guys would burn out if you did not do some sort of regulating your time.

Steve, many of us that work have a "work ethic", or should, but that doesnt account for unforseen occurences that might take precedence. In the snow storm this winter, there was no public buses running, and I take a bus to the train... So I walked 2 miles thru snowdrifts to get my train because I run an IT company and businesses depend on my service. However, if I had a family emergency or was stricken with appendicitis, I would not have made the effort to go into work.

 

Yes, I would be the same. I had a death in the family at Christmas (actually on Christmas day) but luckily I didn't have anything booked in for a few days so it didn't affect any appointments. One the whole though, clients cancel escorts more than escorts cancel clients and most don't think anything of it.

 

When I was 18, I went straight into the work place, my family were not wealthy enough to put me through university so I took a low paid government job which included university tuition and a salary that increased year on year if I passed my exams on time and although it took me an extra 3 years to get qualified (as opposed to going there straight from school) I did it myself and in the 10 years I worked there I only took 4 or 5 days off in that whole time. I appreciated that they put me through college and paid me for the day I wasn't even at work, plus all my books, transport to university, everything but I was contracted to them for 3 years after I qualified. I did that and then when I was no longer liable to pay back any tuition fees, I left and started my own part time business (my sex life is my other part time business hahahahaha).

 

I was committed to them for a long time but it did pay off and that's where I get my work ethic from. At the end of the day, unless I work hard myself, I am never going to get anyone to pay my bills and I like nice things and they come at a price and that price is commitment.

Clearly you were listening to your father when he told you what life was like when he was a boy - y'know: "when I was your age we had to walk to school through rain, sleet and snow, and we never complained because, well just because." I think the point I was trying to illustrate that if its in your nature to have a work ethic, you will. My father and I didnt have a great relationship, and he rarely told me anything. I am not after compensation. My main point I wanted to make was it is not always the escort that gets cancelations. I myself have had to cancel appointments, but they were made days in advance. I will nolonger make advanced appointmenst because my own schedule is changeable. Is forum seems to be very pro-escort and it is always the client that is the SOB. I have sent the guy (escort) several messages since he canceled. He has not responded. One asking if he wanted to rebook. I will see if he responds and how things play out.

 

Edward, I think that he should have offered to rebook, discounting the rate to accommodate for your expenses. Yes, many on here fawn over the escorts in every situation, and it's annoying.

I agree with Travis. I've actually had a couple of very good escorts follow-through on their commitment to re-book and reduce their fee as a means for making things right after their last-minute cancellations. It just made good business sense for them to do so, because I've since re-hired both guys when I've returned to their respective cities.

In terms of what an escort should do, suggesting an alternative is an appropriate response to the situation. A well-respected escort once cancelled on me on the day of the appointment due to health reasons, but he offered to arrange a session with a fellow escort at a reduced rate.

 

There is a huge difference between those escorts who take their work seriously and the many who do it as sideline, with no thought of any responsibilities to the client.

 

I'm not sure I would ever travel solely to see a particular guy, but if I did, it would only be for one of the top-tier, well-vetted guys.

Been there, done that and posted about it on here. A while back I was on holiday when a regular of mine found himself in town last minute covering for a colleague at a conference and wanted me for 2 hours.
