Actually it will probably someday just be the very simple reason Katie does not want to raise a "Little Scientologist" as a daughter..which Tom did! Which caused her "Sayonara" it has been Fun! It has also been speculated that she filed in NY instead of CA because NY divorce courts favor sole custody where CA favors joint custody.

 

The custody, as speculated by others, is probably more a matter of how she wants the child to be raised.

I seem to recall that there was one, and Cruise sued the hell out of the accuser. I wouldn't claim to have had sex with Cruise unless I had video evidence. Even if it's true, Cruise has the assets to bury anyone who would make such a claim.
