For ALL you food lovers, Thomas' (those wonderful bread people) have come out with their latest product, Corn Bagels....

 

Its kinda like the love child of a Bagel and a Corn Muffin. You have that gritty texture and sweetness of the corn muffin, with the HOLE that you crave.

 

Smear a bit of Philly cream cheese on it, and lie down a few bacon stips and Feel the orgasms come.....

 

Delish !

My grandmother always used to tell me while I was growing up: "Young Boner, if you live long enough, someday, someone will eventually come along and fuck-up your corn-holing activities and turn it into a weight gain industry."

 

May she rest in peace. She passed away in her recliner a few years ago while jotting down a Paula Deen recipe.

This is funny. I just saw this thread, but I got home from an after-work shopping trip and guess what I picked up? The very same bagels. I'm intrigued...I'll be trying them for breakfast and we'll see...;-)

 

There's a slight bit of traditional Jewish guilt in me that says that a corn bagel (along with many of the newfangled flavors of bagels available nowadays) is not *really* a bagel...but hell, I don't care. After all, though I may try my corn bagel with cream cheese and lox, I also will probably have bacon with my breakfast too. ;-)

 

Have you tried the Thomas' pretzel bagels, by the way? Also quite wonderful. I think they only come in mini size - I hope eventually they make them full size as well.

Hmmm I am gonna have to try to make these.

 

Last week was cheesecake, apple pie and peanut butter cookies.

 

This week so far going for Naan and maybe corn bagels.

Love the idea of a corn bagel and while I was at the store this morning I looked for them but alas they weren't to be found :( Went to a few other stores around me and they were no where to be found. Perhaps so new they have not migrated to the mid-west as of yet but I will keep my eye open for them.

 

PS....Couldn't find them listed on Thomas' web site either so either they are slow to update or maybe it is being tested in select markets. JJ, send some to those of us who are less fortunate please. :)

OK, OK, ALL cooks "sample" their stuff, and some sample more than others !

 

Well, yeah but I eat desert as a small portion at the end of the meal, not as a snack 12 times a day.

Ah - even so, I highly recommend the pretzel mini bagels if you find them. Quite good.

 

The corn bagel I had this morning was also very good. The taste of cornbread, but the texture of a bagel. Interesting.

today I had it with some Warm fruit compote.... I am still sopping up the pre-cum ! :D
