I don't agree with the 'sexual predator' comment by Boner - the escorts are advertising, being paid, and they accept appointments with knowledge of what is going to happen, generally. They are seldom victims.

 

But I am sometimes uncomfortable with language that portrays escorts as 'goods' to be purchased, because it seems to deny their personhood. We don't buy people, we pay for services. Granted, some of us are less concerned about the 'person' than the 'package, but we hopefully respect the person providing the service.

 

I think the term 'sexual object' is more aptly applied to items like dildos and fleshjacks.
