I realize that in this ever changing world in which we live in with gay4pay porn actors and gay4pay escorts that it might get just a bit confusing for some of us to understand just how gay we might really be. Or how gay we really need to be. Or want to be. God, after all these years of therapy, this now surfaces.......? Choices?

 

Does it really matter how gay you are to be happy being gay? How much gay is too much gay for you?

 

Does it really matter much if the guy you jack-off to in your "room" in porn is gay or gay4pay?

 

Does it matter much to you if the guy you hire is gay4pay as long as he kisses and is nice and shoots a big load of hot cum on your face?

 

Do any of us really need to be gay anymore to be really happy being gay when other people are willing to pay us to be so when we don't really need to be so to begin with?

 

Should I continue to remain gay?

 

Should I continue to be gay or should I look for other options? God knows, the ones I now have are pathetic.

I actually agree with Rick's answer. Yes. I need to continue to be gay. After living in that dark, lonely, desolate closet for so many decades, the last 20 months after coming out have been the happiest, most joyous and fulfilling times of my life. Being gay, living as a gay man, is something I need to do, and will proudly do for the rest of my life. Experiencing that happiness at Capital Pride in DC this weekend only confirms that this is the course I must follow. Having found a partner to share the rest of my journey with only makes the decision all the easier.

 

As for you, each person needs to make their own decision. But for me the choice is clear. In the immortal word of the philosopher: "Yes".

i am gay and i hate it. It interferes with an otherwise nice life with beautiful people who have nothing to do with being gay.

Not very.

I would rather classify myself as homosexual, who is proud, but for so many more reasons than my sexual orientation. It is a shame that gayness has become some kind of barometer that is purported to mean something, but often really does not (other than who someone fucks). Some of the VERY best and VERY worst people I know identify as gay, I am more interested in the quality of people, and not how they have sex.

TOO much thinking here. You are what you are. and if you are happy being what you are, then stop thinking about it... Gay for Pay ??? Hog wash ! I always believed that there was a GAY element to these guys. Sorry, but i don't understand why you would have a problem with the phrase 'openly gay'? What is your preferred term for espressing that someone is no longer hiding their sexuality?

The last time I looked, I thought it was an "all-inclusive" board ? Of course there are people here that have issues with one thing or another, but for the most part its been "civil"...

I am happy with who I am. I am gay. I am open about a lot of things in my life to those that matter to me, one of which might be the gender of the person I choose to love and/or have sex with, or another the causes I give to in time or money, or my spiritual life. I have gay nephews who seem intentional and passionate about what they see as the need to oppose hetero-normative behaviors and society's compulsion to adopt. I kindly respond back that it is up to each person as to how they wish to respond and demonstrate who they are. For me, it is about the life I choose to live, the people I choose to share it with, and the things that matter the most to me. To answer your question, I don't measure the parts of me and my life as "enough" but rather am happy with who and where I am while still trying to be and do better. Some days I success better than others, but still wake up with a smile.
