My naive self didn't even realize it at first; I just figured that all escorts cared enough about themselves to use a condom. Guess not. Actually Tyro, the risks are just NOT with the escort hobby, they exist universally for anyone having unprotected sex these days, whether its with an escort, or a fiance, or one nite stand. Sex is a Risk....Period ! Sorry you have to go thru your experience, I know its nerve racking. My partner of 22 yrs died of Aids, a condition I was unaware he had until the doctor told me after removing him from life support..(actually, it was his parents that were told, I had NO rights). . I was advised his contact with the virus "could" have pre-dated our relationship.. SCARY !

I had a friend once he dated a guy for over 8 years that was HIV positive. His partnered never told him. a year into their relationship they stopped using protection. you think the right thing to do would be to speak up but no he never did. My friend Terry found out his partner was positive during the last 6 months of his life. He ended up working 2 jobs and filling bankruptcy to care for him during those final months. once his partner passed he got tested. Mikey, I think that if he had to make a choice escorting was the right one. He will know whether he enjoys it within a short amount of time. What he may not understand is that sex is not the only thing that clients look for in an escort. For example, and this may be unusual, I have seen an escort (let's call him George) for years and he has met with my friends on many occasions as my date. They are not genuises by any means, but George needed to have a certain amount of schooling for everyone to feel comfortable. My family has also met George. Of course, I realize that some escorts don't need or want that sort of arrangement and have the looks to have a different client every hour. However, most escorts I have been with said that they prefer long term arrangements where they are fairly confident of the money flow. It appears that the "long-term" clients most often appreciate a certain level of discretion and schooling - maybe things have changed.

And I've hired a few big-name "porn star" escorts, but have yet to be blown-away by any of them. porn may have been a way to get a name ten or more years ago, but the net has changed that. an escort can get more than enough work if they're savvy, have good pictures and can seal the deal. in my time hiring, some of my worst ones have been with guys who have sean cody or bel ami on their resumes. i don't want a robot. i want a fun human being.
