After a few weeks with only a temporary "holding" page, Villa Gianni now has a new website at vgclub.co.uk

 

It's rather sober compared with earlier versions. It doesn't give a rate for the onsite "massage". When I was there before Christmas it was 80 pounds, less than the usual current "market rate" for freelance guys. I wonder if it's gone up.

 

The website no longer gives the complete address but I imagine it is still the established premises at Nevern Place.

 

The choice is said to be of around 40 guys but I expect the shift system still operates so that guys come and go during periods of a few hours. The last couple of times I was there, there were never more than 10 guys.

 

It's quite a useful resource. Has anyone had recent experience?

Londontop, I am in your same situation, used VG shortly before Christmas and it was as you described. Returning to London in a few weeks and may have the time to try it again. Because the place is very discreet I would suggest a day visit to find it. In my experience, they open around 11 AM and are very happy to give a "tour" if you don't want to use the services immediately.

Unfortunately it says absolutely NOTHING except that the guys cost about 140 pounds/hour out, and that "in" is massage (probably to cover themselves). No photos, no address, and the only way to contact them is by e-mailing them first. Very sad to see how far down it has gotten probably because of some legal problems on excorting, though hard to understand when so many guys advertise so openly as escorts on other sites, but then again, none are affiliated with a locale.

The legal situation is a little more complicated than this but, basically, you are ok if you are a prostitute advertising services on-line or in a specific publication but pimping is definitely out. VG has been around for a long time and I am sure they know they will not be touched by the police if they keep within certain limits.

I know that some people have had decent experiences here but it must be said that for an escort, it is not such a good option. They will make more advertising on-line. Inevitably, this has an effect on the quality of the guys working, some of whom might be new arrivals and lack the language skills necessary to go it alone.

I visited VG Club this week and found the host his usual polite, calm self.

They boys however were limited, only 4 in the back room area, none of which took my fancy.

The club was busy however with 3 of the rooms taken and 2 businessmen in the lounge and corridor waiting, I suppose.

 

Up until this year there seemed to be more eastern european lads working there, most now seem to be latin types.

Dear Atlantagaguy, You are correct. It is very discreet and only labled as "basement 32 Nevern Place". Go down the steps and ring the buzzer. This is one of the reasons that I suggest finding it in the day (after 1PM). Once inside the manager will put you at ease. I am surprised that there are no reviews on Daddys. Best of luck next time. I've been tempted for some time to try it out but never have. Maybe on my next trip in a few months I will go there. The disadvantage is that without a web site it is not possible to get a good idea of the selection of guys available. Not sure why it is taking them so long to get their web site up and running but it is a big disadvantage to potential visiting clients like me.

Ragazzolupo - thanks for the update. Interesting business model - no website and, so far as I can see, no advertising in papers like Boyz and QX so, presumably, dependent on those who already know the location and/or phone number plus "word of mouth".

 

Did you get any impression of "best times" for choice and availability? It's over a year since I went. At around 8.30 on a Friday evening in winter there were around 8 guys and, sure enough, one for me; but otherwise I might have gone away as cold as I arrived. Since then, in the absence of news here and a website, I've been disinclined to make the journey. Perhaps time to do so again....

I don't think that a website would help in the selection of the guys. They not only change from week to week, but from hour to hour. At any one time there may be up to 10 escorts. I know that they do a complete change of selection at about 7PM. I suppose that if you got there at ...say 6PM and did not see what you wanted, you could go around the corner for a drink in Earl's Court and return at 7:15 to see if you had a better choice. I have always found more than one attractive boy and had some difficult decisions. The concierge/manager will help you with the details of selection top/bottom/versatile, affectionate, how good is his English. The mix usually has one or two English boys, a couple of eastern Europeans, an Italian or Spanish and a couple of Brazilians. There are only 4 rooms, and at times they can all be booked. At those times, the selection that you see through the one-way viewing will be much less because 4 of the possible 10 are "occupied." You can ring the phone number and ask how busy it is, but I don't know if they will discuss more for leagal reasons.

I agree the website, in its last manifestation, didn't help in selection but it was a little bit of a reassurance that they were still in existence and functioning without the bother of a phone call or wasted journey. Nearest tube stop is Earl's Court. It is about a 2 minute walk. Exit the station in the direction of Earl's Court road. Turn left onto Earl's Court road. Walk 2 1/2 blocks (north) and turn left onto Nevern Place. It is a block and 1/2 down on the right.

latest website address seems to still be down....but, in googling around for more info, I found this sleazy little article from 2007 about a reporter's visit to VG after a gay member of Parliament was mildly rebuked in 2003 for helping out a Brazilian dude with employment and visa concerns....the Brazilian was evidently then working at VG at the time of the article and is pictured in it....
