Just wondering if we are going to go down that road again this year. To Try to get a coverboy of the year without a Battle? Tampa Yankee did such a good job the last couple of years. So Are WE???? Hugs chuck:9

That was my goal, but the software screwed up. (An outside company that I paid money to)

 

Having a beauty contest is just not worth it. You cannot believe the grief I took over the ESCORT OF THE YEAR pageants.

 

Guys make their living escorting and to put them through a contest is just not right.

 

Tampa Yankee did an admirable job of trying to be fair but he was assailed from all sides as I was the first couple of years I attempted it.

 

The true "BESTS" come through the CREDIBILITY of the REVIEWERS.

 

It is becoming easier to tell who the credible reviewers are after 4 years. Soon, it will be even easier but I will let you about that when it is all implemented.

Now my curiosity is up. Very intriguing. Is there an estimated time frame on this new, invaluable reveiwer credibility function? Glad you're not having a coverboy of the year contest, as it is so subjective, like any beauty contest.

I am not going that direction at all.

 

However, I think most folks who have been around long enough are beginning to recognize the genuine reviewers. I am going to leave it up to the reader to make the determination....Certainly I would not tread down that nasty path....

 

At one time, I had the "Credible Reviewer" stamp, but I eliminated that long ago and if you see one that is still up, lemme know and I will take it down.

 

Its obvious that a first-time reviewer does not have as much credibility as a guy who has been doing reviews for 4 years. I think those people should get extra privileges -- like not having to wait so long to get a review up.

 

I also think that people who are contributors to the site should get the same sort of consideration -- to keep this place free.

 

Just some things I am mulling over.

 

You may have noticed some slight changes to the look lately and they will continue. Still, I want this place to be easy to navigate and fast to download for the people on dial-up.

 

Any suggestions you have, please email them to me. Naturally, there will be people who will hate any change.

I have missed the coverboy of the month. But understand that it's just a beauty contest. i am sorry Hooboy has had trouble with the outside company. Would never want to see Reviewer of the year. Never knew there was a pageant. Was it held in NEw York?
