Reading the comments in this thread I find that the only person who has really stepped out of line in their comments is operalover21, the person who has been "defending" you. Everyone else is making personal points clearly but he is using harsh vitriol. You might not agree with or like what those other people are stating, but they are stating it acceptably. I just found it odd that the last thing you posted could really be better applied to operalover21 than JamesNYC, and I'm not taking sides in this conversation, I just wanted to point out my observations.

You are very right ,and thats actually what i do in SF get a great apartment right on the water. I have already found an apt on the upper east side of nyc for my trip in Feb. This past trip was rather impromptu so did the hotel thing. I have actually thought about doing a more personalized weekly news letter for people who are more interested in me as a person. However there are billions of dollars being spent in the online porn world so i think i better keep my daily newsletter going in the hope of steering a few pennies my way lol. The posters here who made their outlandish claims are posting under fake names, don't provide details of who they are, and what they're reputations are, and are newbies.

Perhaps my reaction was not as "nice" as I would have liked it to be but when I see someone come along and defame the reputation of a person I know with something I know to be false and slanderous ...well, I don't react like someone going to church. When that person continues to defame and continues to name call ... well, my reaction is going to match -- or more likely -- exceed what they're saying.

Negativity is not a personality trait exclusive to the gay community. But when a gay goes negative, look out. There are a lot of unhappy people in this world, and I suppose a fair argument could be made that many of them have a good reason to be unhappy.

Smiling and pretending to be nice, given the state of our polarized politics and "reality TV" culture, is not easy these days. How else can we explain the success of the Housewives? And there are a lot of people drowning out there, begging for their 15-minute opportunity.

I'm afraid your statement is inaccurate again operalover21. At least four posters who made negative comments about Marc in this thread have been members longer than you, with "lithen" having four years over you here (he joined in 2005, you joined 2009). So they are NOT newbies, they are respected participants in this forum. I would also like to note that many chose not to reveal details about themselves and post anonymously with a handle rather than using their names, even those who have been here a long time, so commenting that someone is not providing details of who they are or using a fake name is reduncant.

I don't think from reading any of your responses that you intended to be "nice" at all. The other people's comments in this thread cannot be described with the definitions of bitter and catty I posted above, however most of yours can. I can understand that you don't like to have it pointed out that you are incorrect and also the main perpetrator of the type of statements you claim to vilify, but you cannot deny what is posted for all to see, or attempt to deflect your own words back onto other people; someone like me will fact check it. Around here people have intelligent, adult conversations and they don't go cutting each other up just because they disagree. I rarely see a thread like this one with so much animosity, and most of it is coming directly from you. I wonder if you understand that everyone else here sees exactly what is going on - you don't like what people say about an escort you like so you are willing to fight to defend him, but you are a sort of Don Quixote fighting windmills - no ones really fighting back at you. Everyone else who posted is trying to debate a subject and make sense of it but you reply with such animosity that it turns the conversation into something it needn't be...it makes it about you. You would be taken much more seriously if you stop using vitriolic adjectives born out of knee-jerk responses. We can exchange ideas and still be decent with one another.

OK. I read everything written about Marc pro and con. I decided to contact him, and I framed my original email exactly as he stated in his original posting that he "required". I was quite accurate in my descriptions of myself and my desires and expectations, and I even gave him the option of quoting me a high rate so that I would know that he was not interested in getting together. His responses were quick and warm. We set up a firm appointment within a 3 email exchange. What can I say? I will see for myself. Then, I'll report and you all can decide.
