I use many different methods.

1. Sometimes one hand, sometimes both.

2. Sometimes palm is involved, sometimes just fingers, sometimes just finger tips.

3. When I only use one hand, it's always my right hand, which is my dominant hand. If I use two hands, then the "dominant" and "supporting" hand varies.

4. Varies. If it's a quickie, then definitely both head and shaft. If I'm taking my time, then it can be one or the other only, and sometimes switching between just head or just shaft when edging.

5. Miscellaneous info (since others have included other random bits of information) -- For longer session, I usually use porn and sometimes lube. Rarely use other aids.

It is always interesting regrading the twists and turns threads can take... Still, I guess a good service was done regarding those clover leafs... and in the next lifetime I will begin doing those crunches a bit more diligently...

 

But back on topic... While I most often do it dry... instead of lub... a good hair conditioner makes things feel as smooth as silk if that is the sensation that you wish to experience. I prefer a conditioner with a citrus type scent... and that is the rub... some of the aromas are quite hideous.

I never used conditioner. When I first started masturbating, I remember discovering that shampoo worked better than soap as lube in the shower. Maybe a shampoo/conditioner combination product would be even better. I'll have to keep that in mind when my son gets a few years older.
