Reviews Update 1/3/2002

I was up all night again trying to get up to date, but the problem is the servers, which are in another state are incompatible with the software that is now being sold. I have been on the phone with Microsoft for the past few hours and they will not even let me purchase the old software.

 

I have a few more hours before I have to fly out of here. I tried calling every store in this city that sells used software and none of them had what I need...If anyone has a copy of Frontpage 98 or Office 98 with it in it, I'll buy you a drink or two on the way to the airport. I am being driven, so I can do that.

 

It looks like I may have to just switch software but I'll have 10 hours on the plane to learn it.

 

BTW, this is not a vacation, but I thank you for your kind words and best wishes. My life is a vacation. I'm just looking for ways to spread the cheer -- and whatever else I'm carrying that people want to steal...

 

More later, I'm back to reading some nasty reviews.

Are you serious about FP98 I think I have a copy somewhere if you want me to search for it let me know. I can fedex it to you or whatever works. I just can't do that until the morning..

Hoo - giggle - If I am not mistaken you said on the front page that this note would be in the 'lobby' not the 'lounge' and since I read from the top to the bottom on these pages I had almost given up on finding it. How human of you! (or substitute the words - charming, endearing, etc.)

I have Office 97 Pro but it doesn't have Frontpage so I guess that would be pretty useless. Since Microsoft were such bastards you might check out a few warez sites. Try astalavista.com.

Hey guys, looks like HooBoy has soloved his software problem and has some new reviews out this morning. Thanks HooBoy, I thought I was gonna have to check into a rehab center, hehe! And once again HooBoy thanks for all the entertainment you provide us. Don't forget to tell us about your trip to Rio, even though you proably spent a lot of your time trying to fix the review site, surly you had time to check out the local talent!
