I invite you to mark your calendars for March 24 and 25, 2012 for the 8th Annual Palm Springs Weekend. There will be a dinner on Saturday the 24th, and a "pool event" at my rented condo in the afternoon of Sunday, the 25th. Probably another dinner after the “pool event”. More details will be announced as they become available.

In the meantime, I wish everyone an early Happy Valentine’s Day! (Which also happens to be International Condom Day!);)

First, I want to thank Oliver and Lucky for all they do to make this weekend happen. I think I have a pretty good appreciation for all the work they have done and will be doing in the coming months. And if I can help, please let me know.

I will be attending with my go-to guy, Rockin Dave of DC.

Now to figure out where to stay. Several of us have discussed helios or even renting a house for the weekend. If anyone has other suggestions or would be interested in something like that, let me know via PM.

Again, thanks to Oliver and Lucky. And I look forward to seeing you all again in a couple of months.

Are 'newcomers' welcome or you need 'referrals'?[/color]

If you need a referral Steven, please consider this as one on behalf of many!

Rats!! Another Palm Springs weekend where I have a conflict. One of these years I will make it to the event. There are so many escorts and posters I would love to meet.

For those planning to attend the Palm Springs Weekend here might be an added incentive. Sunnylands, the fabled estate of ambassador Walter Annenberg, just outside of Palm Springs will be opening to the general public starting March 1. There are nine acres of gardens designed to evoke Impressionist art, and solar-powered glass buildings housing a museum, a theatre and an indoor-outdoor café with great views of the San Jacinto Mountains. The price of admission can’t be beat – it is free. The web site is http://www.sunnylands.org.

OneFinger--I had planned to respond separately, but your salient and timely words express it oh so well. I had planned to attend once the invitation had been extended, but on the 24th of March, the nonprofit organization

of which I am one of the Board members as well as its secretary is having its "first" major fundraising event; I am playing one of the key roles in making this event a great success, thus I cannot fly to Palm Springs to partake

in this event.

Hope 2013 will find me in attendance, meeting those who've been at this site for a few years as well as the escorts whom I have never met but look forward to!

Oliver,

Bawston Bill will be there. The events, as usual, will be spectacular, but the FUN AND FRIENDS will be out of this world. No snow, no boredom, just the highlight of the year.

Thanks,

Boston Bill

Thanks for the heads-up on that Epigonos. I'll be sure to allow for some time to get there. Maybe a group outing?

Hi guys. For those of you who are attending the Palm Springs Weekend for the first time I thought I might post some hotel information. I am listing ten properties first that are all reviewed on TripAdvisor under, would you believe, Specialty Interest Hotels. They are in the order of excellence presented on TripAdvisor.

1. Casa Ocotillo

http://www.casaocotillo.com

(Clothing optional around pool and hot tub)

I’ve never stayed here before but am doing so this year

2. The Hacienda at Warm Springs

http://www.thehacienda.com

(Clothing optional around pool)

I have never stayed here but in my opinion it is the plushest of the gay resorts.

It is also one of the most expensive

3. Desert Eclipse Resort

http://www.deserteclipseresort.com

(Clothing optional in the courtyard area)

I know nothing about this place

4. Warm Sands Villas

http://www.warmsandsvillas.com

5. INNdulge

http://www.indulge.com

(Clothing optional)

I know nothing about this place

6. East Canyon Hotel & Spa

http://www.eastcanyonps.com

(NOT clothing optional)

I have stayed here twice. Very nice, resembles a small motel.

7. Escape

http://www.escapepalmsprings.com

(Clothing optional)

I know nothing about this place

8. Triangle Inn Palm Springs

http://www.triangle-inn.com

(Clothing Optional)

I know nothing about his place

9. The Andalusian

http://www.theandalusiancourt.com

Even though the place is listed with the gay resorts it appears to cater to a mixed crown

10. Terrazzo

I can’t locate a web site

If you are seeking something spicier then you might want to consider:

24. Helios

http://www.yourgayresort.com

(Clothing optional everywhere on the property)

Advertizes 1.) outdoor video lounge, 2.) fun and frisky adult playground, and 3.) hot and steamy outdoor multi-person showers.

I have never visited this place but some weekend visitors did last year and enjoyed it.

Now is you are looking for a plain old fashioned motel you might want to consider:

The Shilo Inn

http://www.shiloinns.com

Nice location quite central as one enters Palms Springs from L.A. Near Oliver’s and downtown Palm Springs.

I have stayed here and it is just fine.

The one thing you need to know is that March is the height of the Palm Springs season. Thus you should book fairly soon if there is a specific place you wish to stay.
