I am going through a living HELL in Hong Kong.

New York was just too cold for me and now I wish I never left.

My computer was stolen by a punk kid who will not be able to do anything with it other than use it as a fishing weight because it is totally locked down and password protected.

But I had to buy new equipment at no small price and I am spending every waking minute updating this computer so I can get this show on the road again and begin to enjoy my life some.

Sorry about the delays, but that is what has been happening. I thought I could get it fixed faster than this, but I am a DELL person and there was no way I could get a new DELL here quick enough so I am having to learn everything assbackward on an IBM....not to mention all the new software that I had to buy.

On the 15 hour flight over, I got caught up with most of the reviews. That is what pisses me off more than anything. I was thrilled that I was going to be not only on time, but caught up, then the idiot in the mirror put his bag down and the punk came along and was gone in a flash. Of course, at that point in time, no one in HK can speak a word of English, when all other times....oh fugettaboutit.

And for the paranoid readers, any personal information I may have had on you was not on the stolen computer. Only the reviews were on the laptop that was stolen and it was taken by some punk kid when I laid the computer down for one second to get into the car at the train station from the airport.

The worst thing is...my contact lens were in my computer bag. Fortunately, only minutes before I took my passport and wallet out of the bag.

I tried to have an explanation on the regular review site where most people go, but it is a software thing and the only other person who could do it apparently did not get my email.

Murphy's Law.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. These past two weeks have not been pleasant or up to my standards either.

Hey Hoo,

Sorry to hear about the crap you've been going through. I don't post here often, but I read regularly and appreciate the site. Like the first post-er on this topic, I'd be willing to help if I can. Meantime, I don't think any of us will go into withdrawals if we miss new reviews for a couple days. ;)

Dear Hoo,

I echo the sentiments here: relax, have a great time, we'll get the reviews in your own good time. Take care of yourself, first.

:*

Hugs,

woodli

Hey Hooboy - the reviews aint nearly as important as your health and happiness. Take your time; please remember that you are more important than them. All things, in time.

Hey you guys are so great.

I'll have the whole sordid story up in a couple of days. As it is, since getting here I left the hotel one time to run get my new computer. Then its configuring and yadda yadda.

But the view is lovely and I'm happy enough for now. Anyway, thanks bunch and if I get out of the hotel room, I'll try and sniff out some cute little thing. :-)

Anyway, my new software to upload the site destroyed the Message Center yesterday. That was ALL Daddy and I needed!!! Fortunately, we were backed up but that is why a lot of stuff is showing as "not read" when, in fact it was.

It is not a conspiracy. Just a new Microsoft release..;-)

Safe holidays to all and do not set your laptop on the floor for even one second. And do not talk to strangers on 8th Avenue. And do not fly kids in from California you do not know well. And do not let an 18 year old play with your Home Entertainment System. Or recdonfigure your back-up computer. And if you fly to Hong Kong, take plenty of Valium with you. It's 16 hours from New York.

Hong Kong is a great city. If you need a list of a few places to go, try or whatever, let me know. All but lived there for a couple of years. Hint: Tall Americans are really popular in the gay bars

there. Seems to be ferocious competition over who can drag you home. The gay scene is hard to find, and pretty insecure.

Have fun in Hong Kong.

For those who have never been there Hong Kong is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, with two major islands connected by ferries. The 16 hour airline trip is worth every second. HooBoy:

I envy you, but get out of the hotel and enjoy the city.
