The Calendar Function on the forum

Just a quick question. I've noticed it calendar in the task bar near the top of the page in the forum. I've never seen anything on there. Is it ever used? Can it be used? For example, could it be used to put forum events such as the DC lunch and Palm Springs weekend events on there? Could it be used to list tour dates for the escorts. For example, January 1st could have Colby Jensen (Fort Lauderdale), David-sf (NY/DC), Tristan Baldwin (Baltimore) and Devon Britt-Darby (NY). I know that it would be more work but was wondering on the feasibility of using it to the community's advantage.

I think that's a great idea Lee, plus couldn't we add birthdays, special Forum achievents for all, and many other things. My cell phone calendar is so important to keeping me somewhat organized.

I tried to post to it but my account does not have the permissions to do so. Maybe it's set to only allow admins to use it. To the beloved powers-that-be I'd suggest that permissions be modified so that any forum users could post events, whether it is forum events like the luncheon and PS, escort travels, etc.

 

I think it could be a very user-friendly complement to the event and travel threads, and would cut down on having to scroll through forums to get basic dates on events.

 

If it's a total flop we can put it back in the box but I think it's worth a try.
