I walked into Abercrombie&Fitch (WaterTower - Chicago)on Friday and nearly died when I saw the lust of my life (ie favorite "employee") standing in the storefront wearing nothing but boxers and a santa hat!

I'm curious to see if any fellow Chicagoans may have had the opportunity to snap a photo or two, or better yet, a video of this very fine speciman at WaterTower location? Anyone else have the pleasure to witness these "live models" at other locations?

The TODAY show covered this today from the NYC store. It's a promotion Abercrombie is doing nation-wide. One of the two models they showed had a body to die for -- great pecs & washboard abs. The other "greeter" barely HAD pecs.

Interesting dichotomy between the attire for the female models and the male models. The men wore only boxers. The women had on tank tops and jeans. Wouldn't a better parallel be bra & panties for the women?

The Abercrombie marketeer denied it's to drum up sales. It's to "create a fun environment". Whatever, Mary. :+ For a business that's on record for NOT MARKETING TO THE GAY COMMUNITY they're doing a pretty effective job of doing just that.

RE: Abercrombie & Fitch &am...

I'm so jealous! I heard about this on the radio. A couple of str8 cousins from Florida are in town for the holiday weekend and wanted to see the sights, i.e., Ground Zero (very sad, very moving), South Street Seaport, etc. When we got to the Seaport, we decided to stop by Abercombie. (I don't think they had a clue as to why I was so agreeable. ;-) I normally don't shop on the day after Thankgiving.) The models were there. A girl and a guy. (I actually felt a little sorry for them. Yesterday was kind of cold. They were standing by the door, greeting customers as they entered the store. I'm sure they both got hit by a blast of cold air everytime someone opened the door.) Anyway, I didn't really notice her or what she was or was not wearing. He was cute in a twinkish sort of way. He also wasn't in his underwear! :( He was wearing a pair of red lounging shorts, socks, sneakers, and black boxers. You could see the waistband and the top couple inches of his boxers. (A lot of kids of the subway sport a similar look and I don't get it.) I mean if your going to issue a press release that says that you're going to have underwear models in your store then you SHOULD have underwear models in your store!

I've included a link to Abercrombie's site. The model on the right, in the red shorts, is wearing a similar outfit to the model in the store. :(

RE: Abercrombie & Fitch "Live" Models . ....

Yes, the same thing happened at an A&F store at the Montgomery Mall in Rockville, MD.

There was one boy in boxer shorts and a Santa hat, and one girl in a tank top and shorts. They were greeting people when they walked into the store.

As soon as I spotted the guy, I walked over and said, "Oh my god, you guys are SO hot!"

Of course, I was looking right at the guy when I spoke. :p

I was a little embarrassed by how bold I was, but they both just laughed.

Interesting marketing ploy, for sure; but I'll take it ! Any idea if these live greeters will be there every weekend between now and xmas?

I love it! Sounds like the perfect way to get into the Holiday spirit. If this this guy hot, it would be worth the drive from Virgina? Can I get to Montgomery Mall off I-270?

Sorry to dissapoint guys but I don't have much from the Christmas catalog. This pic is just a solo of the one Justice already posted.

Thanks Justice! :7

They had a big beefy guy as the model at the local A&F instead of the vealcake displayed in A7F advertisments.

The catalog was sort of a dud maybe that's why they are resorting to live'models'? It's a great gimmick...I hope it catches on.

Saw a hot one at the Galleria in Houston yesterday (they had him paired up with a woman, who was wearing more than he was). A real cutie with great abs and pecs. Actually I saw him quite a few times, as my "aimless" wandering somehow kept taking me to that part of the mall... }(
