i have a new seminar offering! it is called

BEST CLIENT EVER:

Everything You Wanted to Know About Hiring Escorts* (*But Were Afraid to Ask)

this brings my escort-client seminar offerings full circle, as i see it as the flip side of my escorting class, HOW TO WH_R_. for 6 years now, i’ve taught escorts how to be top in their industry. that class has been taught in universities, sex conferences, and sex centers, throughout the USA and abroad, too.

BEST CLIENT EVER has seemed to be more of a challenge to teach, as there really isn’t a physical venue for people who hire to come together. after getting several requests for advice on hiring i thought a live, online, dynamic format may be a good solution.

therefore, i am considering hosting a webinar ("webinar" explained here) to teach about hiring escorts. the first seminar i’m offering is designed for men who hire escorts, men who are thinking of hiring escorts, and men who are simply curious about this amazing phenomenon.

it will run about 45 minutes. at the end, there will be time for discussion. you can ask questions to me - from your own computer - and remain anonymous in the conversation. or, you can be completely silent observing the class, and during the conversation afterwards.

here’s a brief synopsis of topics to be covered:

- what an escort can do, or be, for you

- where to look

- effective communication before the appointment

- screening / finding the escort that is best for YOU

- escort fees

- discretion

- mutual respect

- health and safety

- the law

- incalls versus outcalls

- communicating your needs during intimacy

- having a hot session

- your limits, his limits

- overnights and multiple day hires

- travel

- handling difficult escorts

- the question of tips

____________________

i will run this as a webinar if i hear of significant interest in such a thing, as i’ll need to do a bit of research on hosting a webinar first.

please contact me if this is something that interests you. just send me an email (address below) with the subject "WEBINAR INTEREST." i’ll then stay in touch with you as things develop.

by the way - should you want BEST CLIENT EVER taught as a private lesson, know of a space that might want me to teach it, or wanna pull your own small group together and enjoy the class "in the flesh", let me know.

thanks much,

Dave

Rock's head of his class.

what makes you the ideal escort to hold this kind of class?

Not every teacher is the "ideal" teacher. Some teachers are brilliant while others suck, which may qualify Dave in one way or another.

In photography, it is often said that if you're a teacher, it means you weren't talented enough to make it outside of teaching. It's an unfortunate stereotype because some photography teachers are brilliant photographers. On the other hand, some photography teachers have little talent but they're very good at teaching photography. And then again, some teachers have no talent and suck at teaching.

Until one builds a reputation, there is always a gamble.

question, what makes you the ideal escort to hold this kind of class? not a barb against you, but a query.

Dave has been around long enough to have experienced clients who are prepared for a hiring and those that are inexperienced in hiring and need a little guidance. And he has led some workshops for escorts, so he's not entirely inexperienced.

jimboivyo, that’s a perfectly reasonable question.

i have been teaching classes, running workshops, and holding interactive sessions on sex topics for six years now. mostly they are group classes, but i’ve also had smaller gathering sessions and even a few one-on-one classes. i do this several times a year. they occur in a variety of places, from sex worker conferences and sex centers, to adult "play" events and accredited university classes.

below is a list of my class topics. anything that includes “demo” means that i involve other people, as tops or bottoms, to help demonstrate what i am teaching:

Sex Blogging

Male Bisexual Orientation

Men’s Assholes (a demo class)

Fucking (a demo workshop)

Shaving (a demo workshop)

Watersports (a demo class)

Throwing Sex Parties

Group Play Etiquette

Cock and Ball Torture (a demo class)

Escorting

you probably know that i work full time as an escort for men and women, and have been doing so for eight years. what you may not know is that i earned my masters degree in a field which emphasizes teaching (albeit a different subject) and my career background honed my skills in communication, analysis, and education. on the sex side of things, i threw group parties for six years, i wrote a sex blog which became one of three international finalists for “Best Sex Blog” at the Erotic Awards in England, and i’m an activist for sex worker rights, bisexual rights, and the sex-positive movement.

here are some quotes from people who have attended my classes:

"Dave is setting new standards for a profession he is transforming. What I would call him is a sexual healer, an erotic artist, a love shaman. I do not use these words casually.

As a scholar with a PhD in contemporary sacred sexualities, I have studied hundreds of people who combine spirit and sex in their work and play. Dave is simply, utterly, one of the best, one of the most honest and compassionate and alive people I have ever had the honor of connecting with."

- Loraine Hutchins, Ph.D.

Sex Coach, Sex Educator, Sexological Bodyworker

"I was surprised to see that you are so personable! And very responsible, too..."

Class participant

"Keep Dave’s presentation in your curriculum. His was the single-most informative, mindblowing day of the semester."

i agree that it's a tough question to answer, as is "what are you into." i feel with the former, i want to ask "why - - what are you interested in doing to me?" and with the latter, i want to say "that could take several days for me to give you a full answer." but both replies would likely be inappropriate, given the situation.

i think that most of the time people ask me about my limits, they are more INexperienced than i am, and have been used to hearing what i call the limit cliche: "no blood, scat, animals, or children." often they just want confirmation of that, because for some reason they have an idea in their head that lots of people are running around playing with blood, scat, animals, and children. so that first query is often a request for reassurance - that you are not one of "those" people.

i can teach those who are interested and willing to learn more about being a better client, Joey - but obviously i can't get to everyone. and not everyone wants to learn more, or feels like they need to. so although some questions might not be desirable to be asked, IMO you should still think of how to answer them, because... well, you will be asked.

client on phone: what are your limits or boundaries?

me: hmmm, that's a big question. since we don't really know each other yet, i'm not sure how to answer it completely - but let me say generally, i don't get fucked without a condom, i don't involve children (and in fact try to stay away from anyone under 21), i don't engage in race role play or nazi role play, and i don't allow myself to be restrained on a first meeting with a client. other than that, i'm pretty open. does that help?

client on phone: what are you into?

me: i'm actually into a lot - so that would take a good deal of time to explain - we could even spend half a session with me telling you stuff like that. but i'm wondering, have you been to my website, or read reviews on me? i think those would give you a good description of my interests. since we've got each other on the phone right now though, why dont you tell me what you're into, and i can tell you if we share interests?
