Australian brothels (male)

I read a book studying the sex industries in Australia, and there was portion of a man writing about his work in a male brothel.

 

When he talked about getting the job, he made it sound rather ordinary, like he was applying to temporary office-work agencies.

 

Has anyone had any experience with them? Is it, as I'm guessing, such an ordinary fact of life there?

There are several male brothels in Australia. They advertize openly and have gotten very good reviews from clients. I don't know if it is "an ordinary fact of life", but certainly it is much more widely accepted there than it would be in the USA.

I went to one in Melbourne several years ago. The host asked what I was interested in, then sent three guys into an interview room with me, one at a time, and then asked me to choose one (it was like HGTV's "House Hunters"). I wasn't really aroused by any of them, but I chose one, and we went into a bedroom for an hour of play. It was pleasant enough, and reasonably priced, with a minimum of fuss and preparation, but not very exciting.

In Amsterdam there was a bar called Why Not and I remember a friend dragging me there for a birthday treat. A number of really hot boys were at the bar available for your selection and there was also a catalog or photoalbum at the bar for other boys. You made your selection and went to your room upstairs. I picked a boy that was a Ricky Martin lookalike. Totally hot and fun time. I recall the prices were very reasonable too.

I still remember his owner Matt and the gracious way he was leading the House as "Madam". I hope he's doing fine.

It has been a number of years since I visited Australia, but in the past I have had several excellent encounters in the brothels of Sydney. I particularly remember a very hot leather/SM top who worked me over wonderfully, in a small but nicely equipped dungeon room. I saw him several times, always with fantastic results. Some of the places are really delightful.

I have been to Australia three times, mostly Sydney & Melbourne in the early part of the last decade. My first experience was somewhat like Charlie's, but there were eight boys & free wine, and I really liked one of the boys. I liked him so much that I saw him several more times on that trip. I went back a year later and then three years later. None of my other experiences were memorable. In the period 2000-2005, ownership and location changed quickly. I'd be interesting to hear from someone with more recent experience.

I've been to Australia twice. And have visited two of these places in Sydney and one in Melbourne. The ones in Sydney were in fairly quiet neighborhoods. the one on Mlebourne was in a more industrial type of area that was a little bit of a hike. They were pretty much the same as any other brothel anywhere. My experiences were fairly routine. the second time I was in Sydney I think they had a photobook to select your guy. The one I was most interested wasn't there at the time but they called him in. So I had to wait there for quite some time before he arrived. Cute twinky blond 20 year old.

 

I have to say my experiences in Europe were better. Amsterdam was HOT. But I think those places are all gone now. I also went to a place in Germany once that was more of a host bar type set up. More expensive. Very hot boy though. And I went to the old Villa Gianni in London once upon a time. Not the greatest experience there but it was a long time ago.

 

But Thai gogo bars and massage places are my faves these days

Sounds expensive. Is it any more so than the non-bricks-and-mortar people?
