i am teaching my class "How to Wh_r_" in london this saturday - for anyone who will be in that city and is interested and able to come.

 

i will be presenting at the Sex Worker Open University. here is a little blurb on that class, from my teaching website:

 

- class objective: to provide information about sex work. for some, that may only mean a better understanding of it from a sex worker’s perspective. for others, it will allow them to make informed decisions as to whether to embark on it for themselves. for those already in the industry, it will be a setting to converse freely and exchange ideas.

a talk about getting started in whoring. covering issues such as health, the law, screening clients, specific acts, handling clients, and having a hot session. also, profitability and money management, business organization, and advertising. good for people who are thinking of doing this, people who are already doing this, or people who are just intrigued.

 

i've taught this to people who want to learn how to be a better client, too. the last time i did that was a year ago at the Center for Sex and Culture in san francisco. i believe that if clients understand more about the industry from the escort's perspective, they'll also learn how to be a better client.

sorry about the late reply. i've been involved in the swou these last few days.

um, top points?

 

take care of yourself: physically, mentally, emotionally. be discreet. have good perspective. respect yourself.

 

health and safety: your health. the law. screening clients. specific acts.

sessions: handling challenging clients. work locations. hot sessions. travel.

 

logistics: profitability/money management. business organization. advertising.

 

on the other side, i am considering hosting a webinar to teach about hiring escorts. it wouldn't be the same topics as above, but hopefully you guys can get an idea of what i mean. at the end, people could ask questions and interact with each other, from their own computers - and remain anonymous in the discussion. i would plan to offer this if i hear of significant interest in such a thing, as i would need to do a bit of research on running a webinar first, and then pull together the content of the seminar.

so guys, please lemme know if this is something that interests you.

Hey Dave -- I just was reviewing some old threads and saw where you were teaching the same class in SF almost 2 years ago. I'd be interested to know if there have been any significant changes to what you say in the intervening time period.

Why not? Learning to be a better client can only lead to having better experiences with the escorts you hire. Think of it as getting more bang for your buck at the very least.

i havent made significant changes to the How to Wh_r_ class... although i do tailor it to the audiences i am working with.

 

Lohengrin1979, i think LouieD’s comment may have been because he approaches hiring from a very different perspective... maybe one where the client has full control, and the escort is completely objectified. LouieD, care to comment more?
