I hope Lucky won't mind if I reprint his private message to me: I still haven't heard about your adventures in... Montreal. Did you get a lap dance? Well, I will say this...we love that city. We love its sexy, earthy men. I surprised Derek when my long-forgotten French came back & I was fluently conversing with the locals (although I wasn't sure how to say "I want to suck you" since they didn't teach us that in high school).

We almost didn't make it at all to Black & Blue (or Montreal, for that matter). Our car service to LaGuardia never showed up; instead, we had to catch a cab in the rain & he took a weird, long, slow route, causing us to miss our flight. Air Canada placed us on the next flight out of Newark, so we got another cab from LaGuardia...one whose driver insisted on moving as slowly as he could, and who was afraid to change lanes when we'd tell him to. So, as soon as we got to Manhattan, we hopped out, got our bags (it was raining harder now) and hailed another cab to finish the trek to Newark. This 3rd driver (we later found out it was his first day on the job!) went through the Lincoln Tunnel & proceeded to go north instead of south on the Turnpike...as if we had that extra 15 minutes that it took him to turn around to spare (sorry for that awkward sentence). After spending about $100 in cab fares, we made it to Newark just in time, to find out that Air Canada wanted us to pay $100 per ticket for switching airports. We thought that was insane but had no time to argue (all other flights that day were fully booked, & if we tried to fly the next day, the rates went up to about $2000/each). We kept thinking maybe it was a sign not to go at all, but we were determined to have fun, goddamit. Anyway, we made it.

Did we get a lap dance? Well...having read here many many times about these strip clubs, we stopped into a couple of them (Campus & Taboo), but since we weren't looking to hire, we quickly got bored & left. :( The dancers looked hot but it was kind of weird to see them openly fawning over the customers. I guess it just isn't our "thing." We had much more fun meeting guys the way we do at home: on the street, at the gym, or at the non-stripper bars/clubs like Parking, Stereo & Metropolis (mmmm...love those sexy, hot, local French Canadian guys). :9

Black & Blue was fun but it was much smaller than anticipated, probably due to 9/11. Very few Europeans were there, as had been the first time we'd been to Black & Blue 2 years ago. It wasn't as overwhelmingly huge as I remembered but it was still fun. We finally met Talvin briefly and he was very sweet...but it's easy to lose your friends in an Olympic stadium, so he had to keep moving through, and besides, we had our hands & mouths full with a very hot couple, one of whom had a HUGE beautiful ass that had Derek mesmerized. }>

The Recovery parties at Metropolis & Stereo were really fun...great crowds, great energy...everybody was horny & friendly & playful. I gave one or two hotties a lap dance of my own, there & back at Le Gouverneur. :p

Coming back: we had bought tickets that afternoon to see Sally Field in The Goat on Broadway, so we made sure to get to the airport early...only to find out that our flight to LaGuardia was cancelled due to bad weather in New York. We had to wait around for 3 hours for the next flight (to Newark again...I guess we weren't meant to fly out of LGA that trip), missed the play, and got to the airport to find that they'd lost our luggage (got 'em back 2 days later). Oy.

Sorry you asked, Lucky?

Oh wait...maybe it was Campus & Stock. Hmmm...Tabou...Stock...Tabou...Stock. Now I can't remember. It's all a blur. All I remember is the fawning dancers & wanting to leave. :p
